Nana sounds like one tough old bird for 92 years old. My mum went through a period where she was falling at home alone, so we set her up with a Life Alert kind of service. The button was supposed to go off when it sensed a fall, but it would go off when she DIDN'T fall sometimes, which annoyed her to bits! Three Christmases ago, she decided to take a shower without her button on, fell backwards in the bathtub, and was there for at least 24 hours before my brother found her. She couldn't call anyone because she couldn't get up, and her life alert button wasn't in reach. It's scary when your parents/grandparents get older and live alone. ❤️❤️

Oh Dear L-rd, please protect and bless Nana 🙏. It is hard to get old. Falling down is awful 😞with us old ladies. I am grateful that Nana is not in pain. Happy Birthday Link and Charles! 🤗🤗 I love the show.

9:31 I also want to say that I recently experienced a very similar situation with my nana who’s 94. it’s very tough to watch a loved one age but it’s also tough on that loved one because they don’t want to be a burden for their family. when situations like that arise I always try to reassure her that I love her very much and I don’t mind taking care of her. Unsolicited advice: Link, please call her sooner than later! Let her know you have been thinking of her and you are glad she is recovering!

My wife's Nana ( went by Nanny) lived in our home her last years in her 90's. She too was frail in body but mentally sharp as a tack. I'd come home in the afternoon, go sit in her room and we'd have the best time just trading stories and giving each other what for. Some of my best memories. Of course I dare not take for granted that her mind was intact. My heart goes out to so many who don't have that good fortune. Listening to yall was like sitting on the porch with a glass of tea. Thanks. Wishing yall and your Nana all the best.

My dad has the same birthday as Charles - May 27. For his 72nd birthday, this year, we reconnected after 7 years. (Inspired by you two.) This family trip to LA, where my brother lives, was the first time, in 29 years, my father had all 4 of his children in the same room with him. (2 sets of siblings, half-siblings 20 years a part.)

Listening to what happened with Nana, it sounds like something my grandmother would do (she is also 92 and is still doing well). I'm convinced that it's the stubbornness that keeps them going; as someone who has inherited said stubbornness, it is a great quality to have until something like this happens. I hope things go well with her surgery and that the anesthesia doesn't mess up her system too badly after the fact.

Prayers for Nana.please get her a medical alert bracelet. I wouldn't want to call my kids but would use medical alert. I have balance issues and health problems. I feel secure with medical alert bracelet. Please keep us up to date on Nana.

I recently had a birthday in May. The last two birthdays I’ve had my mom has tried to go out of her way to ruin them for me by pretending she was trying to rekindle our relationship.
