Hard to beat last years black and gold kit. Even the track suit and jackets were crazy, like that entire theme should be repeated in the future it was too clean.

When this kit originally came out 40 yrs ago it was dubbed the 'Wimbledon ballboy' kit as it was similar to what was worn by the kids who retrieved the balls at tennis matches

It’s a good kit. Way better then the away kit. However to pay £80 I wouldn’t dare to. At the end of the season when it goes down to £35 pounds which is still a bit too much I’d buy it

That’s what we said last year but the Black and Pink kits sold out quick so they didn’t lower prices. Even today on the Adidas website the pink kit is like £66 (from £70 last year) with most sizes sold out

Last season's kits are honestly the 3 best kits we've had in this decade. Or maybe this generation. This year's kits aren't bad I guess, but last year's is better

Adidas really made the Authentic kit versions differentiate this year. The win-loss record in the side lining of our home kit. Now that kind of sparkly pattern in the Authentic version of the third kit, it really makes the kit look so much better.

Robbie thank you for the kit review. I appreciate you mentioning the difference between the replica & authentic kit as I do purchase the latter. I wish Arsenal would allow the club text to be purchased to enhance the authentic especially as I'm spending that extra £30

I was watching the adidas website (I’m in the US) like a hawk waiting for this shirt to drop. Was able to order one this morning! Can’t wait for it to be delivered. Like everyone else I hope this shirt/kit gets more action than our other good 3rds in the past. Especially this year since our away kit is kinda terrible imo lol

I can remember it but for the younger supports, could you have flashed up a pic of that kit you refer to in 82/83 season? Not into this kit, dull washed out green/blue, there's a saying blue and green should never be seen. The pitch is green grass so the if there's to be a green kit, it should contrast with the grass, like our previous minty green which was very chic. But comparing this kit to our recent dark grey/black, the minty green & pink, it's flat & uninspiring. This gets a 5/10, because of all the colours/colour combinations available to a dye a cloth, they come up with this. Though win a cup final in it and it gets elevated through memories!

KITS THIS YEAR ARE AN 7/10 ADIDAS has killed it with our kits lately. so they have credit in the bank for me. i do like the approach to a new color of kits. the gold is bold, it references the obvious. the away is totally different, but I do like that they tried something NEW, it grew on me and the arsenal font is really complimentary to the kit. and the green is something new. An effort to be elegant just in case your visiting grandma on Sunday after a game.

A third kit is supposed to be worn when both the first and the away kit clash with the home team. However our away kit will never clash with any Premier League club because of its garish lime green. In fact I'm struggling to come up with any European club that would make us have to wear this green third kit. So is this kit just for marketing purposes? The green away kit was actually fairly popular with the fans back in 82...... I remember being in the away section at Stoke City for our first game of the season and we even invented a new song for it

It will be hard to find games to wear the green kit. If they are facing a team with a red kit, that would cause issues for viewers watching tv who are color blind. That may be why the shorts and sleeves are blue.

I wish Arsenal would ditch Adidas. I hate that Adidas gets to have a logo and their stripes on the sleeves. They low key get a 2 for 1. In my opinion those stripes are intrusive and make all the kits look similar.
