The small bedrooms in the 'Barndominium' had the potential to look like prison cells - or small bunkhouse rooms in a cheap hostel - but the white paintwork, trimmed with local logs, pine edging, and found materials, brings the place alive. What I'm getting above all, is the way you are creating a homely space for your family, and these videos will gain a second life one day when your grown up kids get to appreciate what you have done for them.

I love how everyone who comes to visit understands that it's a a work in progress. They all seem more than willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in to help with whatever project you're working on. I can't wait to see the finished tiny house barn.

I always look forward to your video on a Sunday. Makes my day. If I may make a suggestion when planting the trees or any plant for that matter. Once you've dug the hole add a healthy dose of bonemeal (farinha de ossos), you will get this at the co-ops, fill halfway with water, then plant your tree/plant. Cover with the soil and add a good layer of compost. This way the roots will get the nutrients straight away and watered at the same time. Works wonders.

I try to water trees every three days for a year. Otherwise in hot dry conditions they will die.

Decor idea...I don't know if you have a store that sells carpeting, check and see if they have sample squares they are getting rid of and use those for your bedroom floor. It would give you a bit of padding under your back at night. It would also be lower than the pallet, but softer.

It’s all looking fabulous!! Love your curtains idea,it looks so soft and dreamy ☁️ just a suggestion… we had to sleep without a bed frame for awhile and just put slats from ikea under our mattresses.(for air circulation so it doesn’t get moldy) As I’m thinking the pallets will raise it up quite high? If you want extra softness,a mattress pad would help☺️

Yes, hot air travels upwards , so whatever heat is in the house it will be hotest at the top , while downstairs might be just mild temperature. But I am sure you'll figure it out how to keep it right .

Congrats on getting the barn home finished, it looks amazing and you should be so proud of what you have achieved, you could look at a couple of small vented fans for up stairs as even if you have a through breeze it’s going to be pretty warm up there, and a couple of rv type ventilation fans pulling the air through will make it a much more comfortable place to relax and sleep in. The tinybarn is looking amazing…we have similar wooden fish in a print tray in our bathroom! We also did the same thing with sheets in our attic to stop plaster etc falling on everything! Love all the new trees…it really is all coming together 🌳
