This game revolves about the SCP-5000 which basiclly is a suit but with audio recordings of a man from an alternative universe where the SCP Foundation turned against humanity, using anomalies to annihilate humanity. As an SCP fan and a tactical gamer I love this game.

Its not about forgetting your audio, its about the memories you made along the way with your friends... and possibly SCP's.

Tactical Horror, it's a very cool genre that's not explored much

As a 5-7 owner, I appreciate the detail to hit the back of the slide after inspecting the chamber. That’s familiarity with the firearm as the 5-7 has this odd quirk where, if you don’t full rack the slide, there’s just a very slight catch that will occur which forces you to smack the back of the rack before firing. Failure to do so causes a bad strike and trying to rack the slide off of this will try to pull a second round into the chamber without ejecting the existing one.

The reason the weapons & gunplay feel more "military realistic" style is because they hired devs from the mil-sim PvP game Insurgency! It's an extremely cool shooter game which is very realistic, you can look it up to see how comparable their guns/gunplay is as to this game now. It's really neat!

What’s fun about the SCP universe is that you can make series, you can make lore, and almost everything fits in somehow.

Hold up, I remember this game being cool but simple, now at the start of the video I thought you were talking about an update for Ground Branch (for which I was impressed anyway) or Ready Or Not. The progress they made is impressive!

Great stuff Tacti! I picked this and Deadside up on sale recently. You should try out Deadside, it’s also a game that’s come a long way with some tactical elements. Small focus on survival and big focus on gun combat. Very fun. Keep up the bad ass content man!

i really hope the devs will keep putting so much effort in it. Bought it some time ago. And i am really impressed how much it improved. It has so much potential

I'm so incredibly glad to see a serious SCP foundation game. There have been quite a few, and while they're fun, something of this production quality is just what the universe deserves. I honestly hope we continue get more show/movie/game adaptations of the SCP universe (and/or multiverses). I have been a fan of SCP for years, and I can't even *begin* to describe the potential. There are just so many ideas. So many brilliant SCPs. So many intriguing backstories. There are thousands of SCPs, and I've seen multiple that all by themselves could be multipart movies. I'll be checking this game out for sure. I want to support as many of these efforts as I can.

Game looks amazing, but the hordes need to interact with eachother more, they need to bump into eachother, ragdoll into eachother, and generally physically interact with eachother.

some great SCP short films are Overlord and Dollhouse. There is a animation called confinement, is very well made and interesting

SCP has great potential, from full on survival horror games to FPS mixed in with Horror, you could get things like MTF Units fighting AFA or any other faction that goes against the Foundation (like Heavily Armed cultists) for example

I was curious and decided to buy this game after watching a few videos. I’m after a good tactical shooter, I have tried Operation: Harsh Doorstop and Ground Branch, the latter being my favourite of the two, and when I noticed that in this game the weapon and arms move away from the center of the screen when moving your visual had me like “Why the hell would anyone think this was a good idea?!”. Fast forward half an hour and I was already wishing Ground Branch did this too. Not being able to pinpoint the exact spot your sights will be when harshly moving the camera is a whole new level of immersion, it is a handicap but BOI DOES IT FELL SMOOTH. A shame that in SCP:5K the soldiers’ ai is kinda meh, but I have high hopes, for both the horror experience and the other soldier-based operation!

The whole canted rifle thing only really works with split front (peq la5 ngal etc) lasers and it's really only done to put the laser over the bore. It's kind of annoying to just see it every where

I would love to see DayZ being redone like this. Or if they would make a DayZ alternative out of the same engine.

I remember buying this game before they changed the name it used to be called SCP Pandemic

I play this game about once per week just because im a real fan of the gunplay and the mechanics of the weapons, and there a basically no games (maybe 1 or 2 actually) that give me this feeling, and I really like good gunplay

This game is come a long way and I've noticed the reviews steadily getting more positive. It was in an incredibly rough very buggy borderline unplayable state for a while. Since then they've made huge improvements not only to the bugs but to the performance new weapons attachments lots of reworking current systems and adding new ones. And the wonderful thing about it is they have an endless supply of lore to draw from. There is literally no end to the content they can make for this game and they don't have to spend time coming up with it themselves. I'm confident by the end of 23 this game will be turning some major heads and garnering a lot of positive attention.

The thing about replay ability is they are going to go for kind of what Destiny did with playing the same mission over and over again to get good things.

5K background story itself are interesting, basically the entire promise are The SCP foundation are gone rogue (refer to SCP-5000). The entire of 5k canon are doomed anyway, but don't worry everything in SCP universe itself are canon and split into different universe. Everything you read on site don't make sense until you connect the dot on which canon is the tale or log come from.

As much as I appreciate the love that has been put into this, making the animations this good in a game that is not centered about the guns like in Call of Duty where you can customize the crap out of them seems like misplaced effort. This sort of effort should go into enemy AI, detailed ragdolls and the visuals like gore, lighting, environment and so on but most importantly AUDIO. I mean sure, shooting is important in a horror shooter but not animate every single button action and checking if a round is chambered kind of detail animation.
