Replacing the cabin air filter(s) in the 2021 Tesla Model 3 is super easy and ANYONE CAN DO IT! In this video I show the tools and steps you need to take in order to replace the filter(s), yes, there are actually two.

No oil changes and less brake maintenance, so Tesla made it up by making a filter swap take as long as it possibly can.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure why they put it there vs. behind the glovebox like most manufacturers.

Literally the hardest part is putting the speaker and light back up in there but almost no KZfaqr records that part

Thanks for your feedback! I’ve run into videos too where the one part I was having most difficulty with was the part that wasn’t shown, so I understand. I’ll keep that in mind for future videos!

Thanks for this one! I ordered the filter set in july but didn't get to change until I saw this video and it was done in 20min. All other videos I've seen has made it look much more complex

How often should we change the filters? My girl owns a 2021. I have not changed the filters yet. She has 8646 miles on it. We live in California.

I think most people change the filters when they start smelling a musty smell from the air vents. Tesla recommends every two years.

I watched a technician from Tesla, just pull the carpet away to replace the filter Why did you do the panel under the dash as well?

@@segoviagoodin I think on the older Model 3's you needed to remove that because the torx screw was at the top and was hard to access without that panel removed. On the newer models where the screw is at the bottom, you can do it without removing the glove box panel. It's definitely tight without removing that panel though

Maybe, but it was much easier with the other panel out of the way.
