They really went and made minecraft into a horror game. I was already scared enough trying to mine in caves, this would terrify me to just randomly find it in a survival world, especially if I didn’t know about it.

Honestly, I feel the same way. Imagine being in a hardcore world you’ve made and stumbling upon an ancient city, and You accidentally spawn the warden. 😑

I think it adds so much spice to the game, it actually fascinates me to actually have caution when going in a cave, adding so much more challenge and excitement. And if you ever just want to chill, just avoid the deep dark or go around it.

Fun fact: wool helps suppress your footsteps and you can use them as an alternative to build away from danger without making a noise, just dont place the wool on any sculk, and also they can block the sculk sensors from detecting sound

Not gonna lie, I know a lot are upset that the warden doesnt drop loot, but I think that having the warden be this mob that you need to iust escape from will add some new types of enemies into the game, ones that you dont always fight

To anyone asking if the Warden will ever drop loot, I doubt it. They’ve made it pretty clear they don’t want it to be another mob people want to fight, but rather to avoid and if it doesn’t drop anything there is no use in fighting it. It honestly makes sense and is pretty cool.

The Warden was terrifying when I tried it in the snapshot, but now it's less terrifying knowing now that I can use snowballs *to escape from certain doom.* Unironically, if Mojang made a horror game, I would be up for it.

To anyone who thinks that the Warden isn’t that OP after Philza ate a Notch Apple. Remember that a Notch Apple with Protection IV Netherite Armor makes you practically invincible. A Sharpness V Netherite Sword basically does next to no damage when combined with the regeneration, and resistance, from the Notch Apple and the Protection IV from the armor. While the Warden here can still take off 2 hearts easily with each hit. Plus, I’m pretty sure you’re not gonna have a stack of Notch Apples in your inventory on your survival world. Just to some up his strength and resistance is unbelievably terrifying.

you can downgrade worlds to 1.8.9 to craft the gold blocks and apples into notch apples. but you will risk the chunks you loaded as well as the spawn chunks. you must bring 32 stacks of gold blocks and 4 stacks of apples.

I am honestly waiting. He already had a thing about the souls and soul sand. He predicted that the skulk and Wardens had something to do with soul power. AND guess who was right? MatPat. Can't wait for the full update to come out so he can have his field day. Because it's a snapshot things aren't finalized. They're even working on a way for the Warden to knock off players who pillar to cheese the Warden.

7:15 EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT OF! I'm really excited to see where they take that, if anywhere. The new dimension certainly won't be added in 1.19, but hopefully it will in a future update. Reinforced deepslate takes a long time to mine as well. Definitely portal material. This whole snapshot overall is so exciting! :D

The update in fact is not out yet however… Pro Tip: Apparently there’s a way to prevent the Warden from attacking you. You can become friends with the Warden by adding the username “Warden” to your Xbox Live friends list before the update comes out supposedly. You’re welcome. Happy crafting ❤️

7:30 if you listen to the new music disc it plays a sound of a player lighting some portal and a creature that seems stronger than the warden on the other side
