IT'S FINALLY HERE! The official release date for Skater XL 1.0 is July 28th, but Easy Day Studios was kind enough to hook me up with a private copy to give you guys a first look at the game! First off, wow. It exceeds expectations. The new maps are insane. The downtown LA map is definitely my new favorite map, with Easy Days Highschool being a close second. I've been waiting for this full game since the beta came out in late 2018, and I am not disappointed. If you guys have any questions about the game, let me know in the comments. Skeebo Rone It’s pretty great if you’ve been waiting on a decent skating game since Skate 3, but if you liked the Skate/Tony Hawk games for their story, you won’t find any of that here. Personally I think it’s way worth $40 for the updated graphics and great board physics. I’ve been playing the beta for a few months now, and I had 40+ hours in just messing around with the two tiny maps they put out in that time. The gravity is pretty light, but no more I’d say than Skate was. Mods are also so great if you’re getting it on PC, but if you’re getting it on console AND you’re pretty on the fence on the gameplay, just hang tight for a sale if anything, I’m sure you’ll find it for $20-$30 around Christmas.

They should fix the camera angles, when your doing grinds you can’t even see your board at times.. or when your landing on banks the camera goes through the floor.. great game other than that

J. 4NASH I agree, they definitely need multiplayer would be an amazing add on to the game, also changing your skaters appearance takes to long it’s really glitchy and slow, and I woke up this morning to find out that all my clips on skater xl were deleted and my skater was changed back to default.. a lot of hard work on clips just gone lol xD

other than the sick griptapes and decks as well as being able to customize your character without mods, I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't add any pop height settings etc. like the xxl mod has.

Hope after promoting all these channels to show their game off, that they actually take a look at the gameplay and add menus to adjust settings. This is earth not the moon. That is just the baseline obvious complaint that I genuinely feel should have been implemented into this versions release.

It’s definitely a change because I’ve put in so many hours to modded Skater XL. None of the mods are updated for 1.0 yet so I’ve literally been playing vanilla non stop since I got it and I’m completely used to it now.

@@sambellman7378 mods cant be on console for security reasons. The yet is referring to the mod creators updating their own mods to work with 1.0; however, it is possible for easy day to work with the modders and add sliders as an update.

Wow the physics seem much improved. Been playing the beta on default settings the last few days to get used to it again. It's gonna be sweet. Wonder if then tweaking it with mods is gonna feel even better.

You can see the floatiness if you compare 9:14 and the game (hangtime.) Only thing I need for this game is the gravity fix and pop height, other things I can live with.
