Watching this progression over the last few sessions has been incredible. Every stream could have been the one, and like 3WRs in sessions in a row. Just a real joy to watch a runner at the absolute top of his game. Buttery smooth movement, absolutely casually walking the chat through the run in a WR. So good. There's a reason you're the champ.

The crazy thing is, if you hadn't missed a couple of jumps, this could've been a 16:25 or 16:24. Unreal. World record even with some minor errors.

And your statement at the start is absolutely true, after watching most of your videos a tips, I started speedrunning the game myself and went from beating it in 2 hours to finishing it under 30 minutes and I had a lot of fun grinding for that. Congratulations This is amazing. I know the feeling. I used to run this game at 200.6% 20 years ago and I didn't even know the term speedrun existed. It was more fun than running Super Metroid or Resident Evil (1/2/3) because a friend competed with me.

I've been subbed but admit I'm not someone that watches your stuff on a consistent basis, KZfaq randomly suggested this to me this morning. I'm very happy for you man. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is the greatest video game of all time for me. The time it came out was an amazing time to be fifteen years old(I'm 40). We had so many great games releasing during this time as well like Tekken 3, FFVII, Metal Gear Solid, etc. I've played through this game several times over the years, always getting above 200% and doing it the casual legit way. I've seen some things you did here that were godlike and I didn't even think were possible. That is the thing with speedruns and old games. People are always finding new ways to squeeze just a little bit more from their favorite games, and find secrets and glitches together. We can call those miserable little piles of secrets I guess(I couldn't resist lol) Congratulations again to you.

I knew you would be the one to get it. Way to go. As for the speed running, I have book jump in my casual play. As well as library glitch. I just have problems with the back dashes, wing smashes, and the soul steals. The sad part is that I used to cheese the heck out of the game and soul steal everything to win. I am not a fan of the clips but I am working on randomizer and considering running all relics or all bosses.

this is one of my all time favorite games. but this is the first speedrun I've ever seen of it and I have no idea what just happened, from the outside that just looked so incredibly stressful and random. I feel like me and the fairy were on the same page, flappin her wings just desperately trying to keep up with this madman.
