It was definitely hilarious, but I feel he could have bluffed elum being the engineer and "accidentally" outting him if he asked who fixed which side

Kara actually outplayed Steve by sabotaging late...he could have buttoned before she did the sabotage but because he waited for the sabotage so he could fix before hitting the button he wasn't trying to hit the button giving her time to kill Hafu.

Yes, it was definitely a deliberate bait from Kara's side because she was thinking of outplaying the engineer in the slim chance that one was both still in the game and going for that play. Definitely. Not at all a coincidence.

@@CottidaeSEATo me, the word "outplay" implies some sense of intentionality (playing better than someone implies doing it on purpose, as opposed to stumbling into a winning tactic by happenstance), but I see that is not as universal a read as I had assumed. My bad.

@@IaCthulhuFthagn That's generally how it's interpreted, but the definition is simply to play better than the opposition. So the question is more, does the timing of Kara's action fall into the intentional or the unintentional? Because the way I see it, the action was intentional, not necessarily to cause what happened here, but to drag the others out to fix the reactor, which would give her time for a second kill. So in that sense it was very intentional. As such, I'd consider it falling into the definition of outplaying the opponents.

@@meinkanta If I recall correctly, it's a vanilla feature that bodies don't appear on admin table (added with Hide and Seek mode), and the mod adds an option to bring it back. They might not have the option enabled

The clip doesn’t show it, but right before that he saw Kara and Dumbdog run towards the left together (like Dumbdog says at the start of the meeting, he’s in O2) so in his mind, if Kara died it was Dumbdog. I guess he thought the footprints were Kara’s because she’s also a red color and his mind blanked on the fact that Dumbdogs footprints should also be there if he killed.

The sab was a few seconds later than the usual sab on 5/6 timing because there was no reason to "fake" two impostors being left with 4 players remaining and a killer out, so neither DD nor Kara were trying to hit that timing.

Theoretically, yes. But it's a very low chance in that kind of situation that anyone but the engineer themselves would be sitting on button instead of preparing to deal with a sabotage. There was basically no chance a killer wouldn't take that shot, even had Steve played dumb.
