haha that's a great light-hearted burn. I say stuff like this to my friends all the time. Sometimes my wife and I will meet a couple for dinner and I will look in the woman's direction (but kinda at both of them), and say something like "You look lovely" - When she says "Oh thank you!", I will say "I was talking to your husband" - Never fails to get a laugh.
