I watched this video months ago when I became an alcohol addict. This was a time when I didn't know that I was an addict but yes things had started falling down around me. But I used to keep watching this video just because of his now famous lines "I beat the shit out of them". Months later, when everything actually fell in my life with my addiction reaching out to my Dad as well. I've been sober for the past 20 and half days (today, is my 21st day, oh that magical life changing 21st day). I had hit rockbottom on 30th July, the last night I ever drank so far. I still feel like drinking, but I'm abstaining from it. I won't say alcohol has killed me, but it's me who screwed myself. Today, there could be 1000 possible reasonings from my side, numerous attempts to quit before the rockbottom disappeared, but here I'm, embarking towards my 21st day and beyond. All these months right from the time I was drinking till the time I've become "sober", I've come across many examples of alcohol addicts, but Moxley is the first guy whom I looked upto all these months followed by Eddie Guerrero, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Scott Hall. I don't know how long I'll be sober, I don't when will my life become appear better. I've got resources and family support via my Dad but I've lost many people thorough the 200+ days out of 270 days of solo drinking journey. I just want to be the best version of myself hereafter. I got many chances to get my act straight, but this is the final chance I have and I'll hold onto it like it's my death. And I'll make sure to become the best individual for myself. Back in 2021 when I read about Moxley entering rehab, I didn't have any idea about alcohol addiction (as I didn't used to drink much back then), even when he came back last year at the time of this video, I didn't know how tough his battle. That much disconnected I was from wrestling despite being a fan of the wrestling product since 2002 as a 5 year old kid. Thank you Moxley for going through hell and coming out! Thank you Eddie Guerrero for going through hell and showing that life can definitely be good once you get kicked out, but also when you don't restart your life from the bottom of the ladder. Thank you Dad for believing me and giving me chance to get myself to my best. But also, I'm sorry for dragging you in this phase.
