i got the books of the whole show by kass morgan. there’s 4 books. the first one is called The 100. the second one is called The 100; Day 21. the third one is called The 100; Homecoming. the fourth one is calling The 100; Rebellion. The books are so much more different than the show. I had thought that Morgan wrote the books after the show came out, but the whole show is about the books. There’s alot of character that are left out. Finn, Raven, Murphy, Lexa, Lincoln, and alot of other people. The books are so different. Bellamy and Wells are half brothers; same dad, different mothers. but Octavia and Bellamy don’t have the same dad, they just have the same mom. Octavia starts off as a younger teenager in the book, and gets sent to earth and Bellamy shoots his dad(i think, i’m not sure but i’ll update when i see) to get to Earth and protect his little sister. Octavia is locked up for stealing drugs, not bejng born. She’s described with big blue eyes, and a red ribbon that she wears in her hair. Her mother has tried to killed her to keep her quiet, but Bellamy walked in and stopped her. Later, her mother kills herself because they’re most likely gonna find out. I don’t know much about Wells, but he lives all throughout the books. Wells and Clarke actually met as teens and started dating, then it never worked out. Wells sets the Exodus tree on fire on the ship to get onto the dropship to earth. there’s another character in the book that they left out on the show; Glass Sorenson. Glass was locked up for being pregnant under the age of 18, and I’m pretty sure it was Luke’s baby. I don’t remember, but Luke had an assaulting roommate and Glass blamed it on him so she could get him floated. Glass and Luke are a couple lol. Bellamy has pretty much the same story as he does in the show. Bellamy Blake is described with a long, narrow face. He has an ex-girlfriend named Lily that died, I’m pretty sure. Clarke is pretty different from the show. She’s described with green eyes, strawberry-blonde hair, and etc. Her parents names are Mary and David Griffin, and they get in trouble for performing radiation on children and tell Clarke that they’re dead, but they really sent them down to Earth. Bellamy Blake, Glass Sorenson, Wells Jaha, and Clarke Griffin are the main characters in the books. What will blow your mind? Bellarke. *Bellarke happens. Bellamy Blake and Clarke Griffin get together in the books, ladies and gentleman.* It’s mindblowing to me. They get together in the first book, and on the last page of the last book (Rebellion), Bellamy proposes to Clarke as he shows them their new home, and she says yes. Bellarke!!!!!

It's weird to see the disconnect between the books and the show; it's pretty obvious that they only took loose inspiration from the books with how they're steering the storyline and the lack of/extra characters. The one thing I wanted portrayed in the show was Bellarke, as they're quite the power couple in the books. The platonic friendship between them on the show, while nice, is also frustrating. I'm sick of shows using the will they wont they as a selling point for TV series, it's overdone!

I don't understand why people ship Bellamy and Clarke so badly. When you think about it, they're not even that close. They're cool for a minute, but as soon as there's conflict, they're almost always on opposing sides! Bellamy and Clarke meshed better in the books when Clarke wasn't really a leader and lacked a super dominant personality, but in the show, they're like water and oil.

I honestly hope Bellarke never happens, because if the directors never even thought of them ever being together romantically let alone more than half of the fandom ships them. The directors and writers putting them together just because that’s what the viewers want to see would ruin the entire show for me.
