IT'S HERE! Collecting My New FERRARI 296 GTS

Күн бұрынIt's finally time to collect my brand new Ferrari 296 GTS! It's been a long time coming, but join me at HR Owen Ferrari to pull the covers off my first convertible supercar from Maranello, and head straight around to @TopazDetailing to get it ready for the road. The spec is perfect, let's go!
I ordered the 296 GTS a couple of years ago, a car that in some ways is similar to my SF90 Stradale but yet is also really quite different. As my first open top Ferrari it also features the new hybrid V6 powertrain, and I've gone for a spec that is totally different to anything I've had before. Today we're setting off from @TheShmuseum in the SF90 for the run out to Ferrari London's sister dealership in Hatfield to take delivery.
The new car is finished in Rosso Dino; a throwback colour to the original choice for the launch of the 1960s Dino, and that's over satin Grigio Corsa wheels to link through to the dual tone grey interior. The outside is complemented with Giallo calipers and the Scuderia Shields, with the interior featuring a contrast stitch and embroidery in Arancio to match the exterior colour. With all the carbon fibre options, and the satin black exhaust, it looks the part as we pull the covers back in the handover bay at the new showroom.
The first drive however is literally only a 30 second run to the new facility of @TopazDetailing where we meet up again with Nabil to find out all the latest updates. Now with multiple sites in the UK and afield including the Middle-East and Asia, the newest location supports the business infrastructure of all the dealerships that have opened in the Hatfield area. Ultimately, that means for a customer it's incredibly easy to have the car fully protected from new, and be ready to drive out instantly!

Excellent spec. Brilliant choice with the satin touches instead of black. The yellow accents really highlight the redish orange hue of the body. I'm not a tremendous fan of the grigio in the interior, but it's otherwise pretty hard to find fault with the car (and, obviously, subjective fault, at that).

Lots of nods to the Dino’s of the 60’s. The support behind the headrests reminds me a lot of the 250 LM Spyder though less exaggerated. Beautiful car, beautiful spec. Congrats, Tim!

@Shmee150 you dont have to answer if its to personal but back in 2010 when I went into the Ferrari dealer here in Florida to speck, sign a bunch of paperwork and put the deposit for my 1st ever from New 2011 599 SA Aperta, in my contact it stated that if I wanted to sell it within 3 years of taking delivery I had to give Ferrari the first right of refusal for them to buy it back from me. Did you have to sign anything similar in your contract with your smartly speckled SF90 or your beautifully specked 296 GTS? I didn't know if it was something I had to sign because it was limited to only 80 units or if every new Ferrari is done that way.

Crazy how time flies, I vividly remember your GT 40 trip across America as if it was just uploaded weeks ago. Congrats Tim! I love the color. It’s really like so many colors in one. Inside on camera it is very orange. Outside in the sun (maybe overcast during the wash) it looked very soft almost like a peach and I can only imagine that in person it probably looks completely different.

As soon as I saw you standing in front of the 1m, my mind went directly to that orange Roma you recently spotted around Monaco, you definitely seemed quite enthusiastic about it… I haven’t even watched this video yet… but I know it’s going to be rosso Dino. For a car I actually want to drive, you lose some of that freedom with carbon wheels as you need to worry about them - integrity if you get any damage, and value from them being stolen!

It's a beautiful car Tim. Congratulations. The interior is to die for to be honest. It's elegant and style full with a sporty tone to it. At first I wasn't too keen on the orange when you mentioned it back then but seeing it now I must agree it's really looking great. Can't wait for your first tour with it
