I got the the speed loader and pouches at 5 star firearms, it's a bit pricey but both are very good quality.

I took my 460V five inch muzzle brake equipped 460 S&W magnum with full lug barrel and had TK Custom alter the cylinder to take their stainless steel moon clips. They make it for the 45 ACP but the 460 Rowland, 45 Super and 45 Winchester magnum also fire and are held by the 45 ACP moon clip. So shooting rimmed cartridges of 460 S&W magnum, 454 Casull, all loads of 45 Colt and 45 Schofield and 45 Autorim. Ultimate versatility in one revolver. I use an extra long firing pin from Cylinder and Slide so all rimmed cartridges shoot reliably without the use of a filler moon clip.

45 Autorim works along with 45 Schofield and TK Custom can alter the cylinder to use moon clips so semi-auto 45 caliber cartridges can also be used. Ultimate versatility of ammo use.

OMG. I just purchased, April 2020, that same model S&W 460. I am going to be so happy when I pick it up from my LGS (local gun store). I haven't even seen it yet only pictures. Yours and your video make it look absolutely gorgeous!

And you can still use a speed loader or single load with the TK Custom moon clip method.

I have a model 460 S&W with a 5 inch muzzle-brake equipped barrel. I use the cast bullet muzzle-brake exclusively as it works with jacketed bullets too. Had a Master Revolver Package from the Performance Center done to it. I Love it!!!

Love my S&W .460 Magnum XVR revolver. I only shoot .460 and .454 cartridges in it. I handload various weight lead bullets with H110 powder. It's a screamer for sure. When I want to shoot .45 Colt I use my Governor or Judge revolvers for that round. While the XVR is designed to handle them, the shorter cartridges tend to foul up the cylinder more, and require immediate and constant cleaning after firing. Otherwise, the longer cartridges become difficult to chamber.

@@PanzerGunsAmmo Actually you can shoot four, including the S&W Schofield, without any modifications. I say, "What's the point?", unless that's the only gun you own. Certified "gun nuts" like me have a number of other less maintenance, straight out of the box options available, and better suited for the more gun specific, lower velocity .45 caliber cartridges.

As a guy who has kiled 150 Whitetails. Bears, and a ton of other critters, plus an Army vet I just want to say this video was very interesting! Seriously man you did great and I will be purchasing that exact handgun. I will use 454 for bbear and deer and 460 for big bears and Africa. Good job

I shoot more 454 with mine (8-3/8 model) than 460, after a few cylinders of the 460 300 Gr. bullets, no arthritis but I'm no superman either, I switch to the 454 which are a lot of fun to shoot out of this beast. I rarely shoot 45 colts though, even if it's a respectable caliber, the weight of this gun makes the 45 colt feel like you're shooting 22 magnum. If you never shot one of those, it's an experience not to be missed, effin awesome feeling.

I really like shooting the 454 also, plus its cheaper to buy. I know what you mean about the .45, but i still like it.

Watch out with those hand loads, there's a pic on the net of a eviscerated .460 Performance Center that owner blew it apart with a bad hand load

Lehigh Defense makes a huge copper hollow point 45 Colt load that fits Judge 410/45 Colt that also fits the 460 S&W.

Yes .460 ammo is very pricey.. One big pros for This gun was the ability to shoot a cheaper caliber.

Is the muzzle brake removable on that particular model? I’m very interested in buying one but the muzzle brake just looks awful to me.

On this performance center model, no it is not. The non PC does not have this muzzle brake, maybe you will like it better. But if you can get pass this muzzle brake, this is an amazing revolver.

Short answer is no. Now there might be one brand that would fit but .410 is not an approved caliber by the manufacturer for this particular revolver. Hope this help.

Get ahold of smith & wesson they advertise this pistol with a white outline rear site. I don't you have it on yours. They will send you one. For the money you spend they should get it right!! Mine didn't come with one till I complained.
