It has been almost 5 years since I completed the Titanfall 2 campaign. I have not really played it since. But almost once a week, I think of BT-7274. Everything he went through, everything you went through with him. This really got to me, and all I can think of now is one of his final lines. And it goes: “Protocol 1: Link to pilot, Protocol 2: Uphold the mission, Protocol 3: Protect the pilot” And with these final words he executed Protocol 4: Make the player cry.

I love this is essentially a tribute to “single-player” and “story driven” games. I almost cried at the end, especially with the Titanfall 2 Moment. Edit: I came back to see this comment (June 2022) and forgot to elaborate on my comment, since I didn't describe enough. The reason I really felt emotional since I have always felt disconnected from the gaming community. I've never played the OG Halo, or the OG COD, stuff like that. But it feels good when I decide to play a game like The Last Of Us and Titanfall 2 and feel recognized. Thank you for the sweet coments.

It's probably because you could use the argument as alternative realities. You yourself lived in the shoes of yes a "virtual story and character" but you still put yourself in their shoes when you play.
