Young Miles is totally heart-broken, he thinks he will never find happiness again. Azi tells him about how he accompanied Oscar Wilde during his exile and how they were joined by Oscar's lover, Lord Alfred Douglas. Miles then reminds him that Oscar finally died extremely poor after his wife Constance stopped helping him financially. Crowley admitts that he tempted Oscar and Alfred to start living like they used to, which obviously pissed Constance. The two parents argue about that and finally agree on the fact that Miles still has a chance if he's more careful than Oscar.

I still can't believe the sheer nerve of Stephen Fry, calling Miles' lover Labouchere of all things. In the book, we never get his name, and he just went there and named him after the Blackmailer's Charter. Perfect foreshadowing to the end of their story arc, very in-tone with the, let's say, expressive names in the novel, but also absolutely devastating on an emotional level.

Lillither He has to flee the country as he has been outed to the police as gay. It’s so so sad because many gay men had live in secrecy as otherwise they’d be sent to prison or even, not long earlier, killed. Such a heartbreaking scene. If you don’t watch the film, I’d definitely watch that moment.

I love how people keep referencing Good Omens here with the ironic fact that David Tennant was in this movie, too, as the protagonist's love rival. Yes, David was there, but sadly they didn't share any scenes at all. Thankfully they met 17 years later and the rest is ineffable history.
