That’s the grief process honey. You haven’t given yourself time to grieve. The personal relationship , the sweet Callie. Grief is love with nowhere to go. You will come out the other side once you finish this journey. I love where you’re going with the house. It’s an expression of all you’ve been through. Love you girl. Will Rogers said the outside of a horse is the best thing for the inside of a person.

Appreciate. Not really sure y I choose this plate form. The feeling of the passing of Carmen is really starting to sink in. U don't come across to many people like her in life. I know she's living wherever she is . Strange I miss her. Not really strange. I'm just expressing .

The energy of this episode has developed and matured - the right ingredients have been found, and have been given time to brew into something special. I love Happy Over Hustle. I love Blaze being there with you every step. I love the homage to Callie. The journey with Gracie feels so grounding for you. Your inner confidence is blossoming, and your purpose is coming to you one friend at a time. I got teary over Leo, I love pigs and he's such a sweetie. Hello chickens! How incredible the skills you've cultivated and the experience you've gained, that you can just throw together a habitiat for Leo - incredible! So pleased that you are healing and finding your purpose, and trusting yourself and little Rachel. This was a very special episode ✨

Rachel I’ve been following your channel from practically the beginning. I have watched the channel and you evolve over time. I can only give you my perspective based on the snippets I see, but I believe you are authentic & real and that can be vulnerable. From my perspective, you are a beautiful human being. Inside and out. You are so strong, even if you don’t see it. So so strong. A fighter. That break up flipped your entire world upside down. It seemingly came out of nowhere and blindsided you. Your world has been spinning since. You are trying to find balance, peace and purpose again. I feel like you’ve been trying to fit into molds not meant for you. Honestly I could care less if you did another DIY project if it didn’t bring you joy. You are what makes your channel great & there are so many beautiful and creative facets of you. It’s the authenticity of you and what you bring to the projects you do. There was a little snippet of this video where you are out by the chicken coop watering your little garden and you carrying a bouquet of flowers as you’re walking in the house. That hit! That is Rachel. Enjoying the simple things in life and creating a life for yourself. Create your homestead and bring us along for the journey. You don’t need to build things , just building a life you love is beautiful. I would watch every day. This has been a hard brutal journey for you. You have been hit hard over and over, but you find the strength to get back up each time. That is a fighter…a champion. You refuse to stay down when many others would have. You inspire others. You can do anything you set your mind to or that you are passionate about. Rachel Metz you are a strong, beautiful and creative human and I can’t wait to see all of the wonderful things you will accomplish. Sorry this was so long.

I was thinking about you yesterday randomly. Like "I wonder how Rachel is doing" I'm always inspired by your growth and the way you take care of yourself and appreciate the beauty around you and this video was extra special. I usually don't comment, but I wanted to share that I adopted a rescue dog in December and went through a similar journey of her becoming more and more comfortable and herself in her new home. Meanwhile me never feeling alone anymore and taking charge of her and my well being. Today she got major zoomies in the park without any toys or me motivating her to run and today I had the motivation to workout for the first time in forever ☀️ happy late women's day from two happy ladies ❤

Im grieving the sudden death of my horse who died on tuesday. He was everything. He knew my mind and my body so completely, he would do complicated things the nanosecond i would think "now". I always felt like we were so incredibly in tune with each other. With him everything felt effortless. He just knew miniscule miniscule signs and did everything on the slightest, barely noticable cue because he knew my mind and my body and i knew his. He had cancerous growths on his skin ten years ago when we got him, and couldnt be ridden but wasn't in pain so for two years we went on walks together almost every day and we did so much on the ground just playing around and silly stuff. My saving grace in this hole that I'm in now without him is a three year old that was ours since the day he was born and we did all his training so far and raised him alongside of course his mummy. Summers he spends in the mountains until he's old enough to ride, and I'm so glad he isn't up in the alps right now cause without this horse i wouldn't know what to even do with my time. And it's amazing that everything he knows how to do, from being trusting and being groomed and walking on a halter and going into a trailer and just everything he has learned with me. But I still feel like there will never ever be another like my old boy. He was my soulmate. He knew my heart and my everything and I did his. I didn't mean to write all this when i started this comment and im sorry for the ramble but I think maybe you understand.

Usually I fast forward through much of the renovation stuff to get to see more of your wonderful life on your homestead with your dog, pig, chickens. Your journey with Gracie reminds me so much of my journey with cats. About two years ago i had incredibly bad social anxiety and it really began to affect larger parts of my life which really resulted in depression. One hot summer day I looked on my front porch and saw the skinniest grey kitty. I knew absolutely nothing about cats. I decided to start feeding and left water and a bed for him. Soon he came around and waited every morning. Soon I became the cat lady on the street and had about 10 ferals coming to visit throughout the day. I had found my myself in them & I now had a reason to want wake up in the morning. Learning a new animal language is truly amazing. Learning the body language and discovering new quirks and being able to understand what they are trying to tell you. Best thing ever. Now I have a kitty that comes in and out through a flappy door in my window and chooses to sleep inside at night, I’m just happy she has a space where she feels safe. Love that you are growing as a person and rediscovering yourself. ❤

Rachel, you are so incredibly resilient and strong. I’ve been following you for years now and you’ve gone through so much shit and you always bounce back. You have such a grounded yet radiant energy about you and it comes through in your videos. I’m an avid equestrian and I’ve been riding for the majority of my life. I started when I was 8, stopped when I was about 13 due to life changes, rode again when I was 17-18, stopped and finally got back into it at 28, the beginning of last year. Im not a cryer, it takes a LOT to make me cry, but I cried soo much when I was away from horses with no way to be around them again. Horses have always been so incredibly healing for me. They helped me get through my fucked up childhood and so much more. Horses bond with you in a way that’s really, really hard to explain to people. It’s similar to bonding with your pups, but somehow deeper when you find your heart horse. I’m so happy that you find horses, or rather they found you. I’m not a superstitious person but I truly believe that Gracie came to you at the exact moment that you needed her. The 11:11 thing is insane!! Anyways, stay strong and power on! - a tattoo artist & horse girl in Pittsburgh 🖤

Wow a real cute gang of animals living their best lives. My mom was gifted a 1 1/2-year-old pot bellied pig that went from 25 pounds to over 250 pounds and grew big tusks. His name was Bacon and she had him for about 13 years till he had a stroke. He slept in her room and was her pride and joy, wherever she went she showed people his hair that she collected and his pictures. RIP to my beloved mom, I thought I would never get over her passing 4 1/2 years ago but there is life after great loss. Not only was she my mom but also my BFF, RIP Moeder.

Your property looks happy...what a great place for you and your 4-legged family and chickens. I lost my best 4-legged pal and it hurt. I didn't know how I would go on without her. I had her for 14 years. Then one day I went to the animal shelter and brought home this goofy little dog who had a zest for people and riding in cars, pet strollers, shopping carts, just anything and she brought me back to life. She goes everywhere with me.

I'm so happy you found your purpose with Gracie and Leo and Blaze. You're re-building yourself, leaving space for growth but also for the grief you're feeling for Callie. We can still see her through your "new" life, and it's beautiful to see. Take care of yourself love

I love this episode. You described everything I went through when my dog passed... It was hard to listen to some parts as it hit so close but in the end, it gives hope. We can find a purpose again. We just need time.

Rach! My intuition was working the last two weeks, I had been thinking of you off & on, thinking I hadn't seen a video from you in a long time, & wondering where you were. So happy to see your new addition!! Such a beautiful story. Tearing up with you❣️🤗. Seeing how happy Gracie was when she first got there was a joy. ❤. BIG, BIG HUGS To you, you're doing it girl ❣️❣️❣️🤗😘 OH, & that 11:11, you know thats an Angel number right? Confirmation my friend ❣️ Oh, also, its been proven (& studied) that pigs are just as smart as dogs. 😊 Love the little bird houses on the fence post! Such a cute idea!! You should think about a session with an animal communicator/ phycic. It would be a gift to hear from Calli. You know she is there with you, just in spirit form❤ Im sure Gracie & Mr. Leo would have some things to say as well😊. I follow a cpl good ones on here. Danielle McKenna & Laura Stinchfield. 😊love ya girlfriend!

This video is so fucking touching, Rachel. True art, and true emotion. I could not hold my tears back in the first half of you talking about your horse. I can relate as horses came into my life so unexpectedly this year and pulled me out of very dark times and into my heart, body, and the present moment again. In particular a mare. A true sweet sister. ❤ with you

Rachel, I wept through this video along with you. This incredibly beautiful horse is making it possible for you to physically and mentally grieve Calli. Gracie is giving you the space and her large presence makes it possible for you to be enfolded by her. God bless and may you be healed by the love of a dog and a horse. Oh... edit... Leo you darling! So precious! Finally, may I say your thumbnail is exquisite!

Rachel, your video touched my heart in so many ways. It's incredible to see the genuine happiness radiating from you. Your positivity is truly inspiring, and it's evident that you have so much love to give. Blaze, Gracie, Leo and your chickens, your adorable companions, are so lucky to have you caring for them! On a personal note, my daughter absolutely adores horses. She dreams of having her own horse one day, so I can't wait to show her Gracie in the morning. Thank you for sharing your journey and bringing happiness to our lives. Can't wait to see more of your content. Keep spreading that warmth and positivity! 💕
