Tommy Emmanuel is one of the best acoustic guitar players in the world, not just because he can play very fast, nor because he can play two or three melodies at the same time, or because he's extraordinarily eclectic. He's one of the best because his songs captures the essence of human soul. His strings breathe, cry and carry a message of melancholic hope, comforting the heart of whom can speak their language and be willing to rest listening to them.

Hes not just a guitar player. He uses this instrument like mozart used his pen and paper. A great composer with lots of melancholy and emotion in his sound. Hes a really gifted musician and has to be an idol for every guitar player. Its not just about technique and speed all the time, its al about the feeling the music is sending you.

Who the fook dislikes this.?? Ive written digital music for 15 years, then picked up a Guitar. Started playing. Not because i needed to but because i heard Tommys sound and wanted to learn it only to realize it would be the best thing i ever did. . Which lead me to Chet, Merle, Jerry reed. The money. What its given me is the everlasting feeling of music. No writers block anymore. Because any musical instrument teaches you theory. You dont have a choice. Tommys style, his overall class is an inspiration and should be credited where its due.

Hey Tommy, this song gave me a very different meaning than what you intended. It reminded me of the dreams I once had when I was younger and how school and other things kept me occupied and I ended up not working on my dreams for the past few years. This song gave me that feeling of hope that it's never too late to start again and work on what I love to do. At the same time, there's that bitterness of the realisation that so much time have been used working on something else and how I would be so much ahead if I had kept at it like you did while you were young. Very beautiful song. :)
