It's New Bike Day - Stanton Bikes - Dream HT Build

3 жыл бұрынWe all know this feeling. The time has come to not only reveal the new Stead, but get her built up ready to shred the UK. Stanton are continuing to support my channel for 2021 which is nothing short of amazing. To start off that support for 2021 here's the newest addition to the Stanton family making its way into my life. This will be my first true HT since taking this sport more seriously.

Not every single build has to have the top spec parts all the time. I'm a true believer as time has progressed that you really begin to understand what you want from not only the bike but the components you choose. So, I wanted a good spec, but at a lower cost.
1. SRAM NX group set £200
2. 130mm 2nd hand Rockshox Revelation £150
3. 2nd hand SLX brakeset £120
4. 2nd hand dropper 150mm X brand £50
All other Stanton branded components provided very kindly by Stanton Bikes. This adventure is truly outstanding. Being supported by so many UK brands. I take nothing for granted and appreciate the support to no end.

I'd go with 853 steel too. I ride an 853 Cotic Solaris Max (another UK HT) and I love it's compliant but efficient ride. As you say, the same material across different brands is very hard to compare. I also ride a Production Privee GT Shan Esprit, which is 4130, and I am not in love with it. It's not that much heavier on the scale, but it rides like I'm carrying an extra 10 to 15 pounds weight. It's really sluggish uphill, but very playful downhill. It will soon be up for sale, and I'm thinking of replacing it with a Sonder Signal 4130. Any comments/advice? Another excellent review in this video - thanks

Looks great mate! The range is different between NX Vs GX, 11-50 to 10-50 range. But it is not worth the money.

I keep nearly buying a switchback frame to replace my Nukeproof Scout. They look so good! Maybe I'll have to just do it and find out if steel really is real

Cracking build - the heritage wrap really makes it stand out. Do you reckon the 18 inch frame is fine for 5'11? I ask as I don't want to order the 16.5 and find it is tiny - thanks

Hi there. I'm 188 and went for the 18inch. I would say that would be right for you also. I run a 35mm stem for ref. Use my channel for discount. Mention it to them. All helps 👍

Good idea to buy a frame and spec in a sensible way. Its truly outstanding quality buddy for the money. Lifetime frames. Good discount if you mention the channel also 🤑😁
