That's not what that comment means. Women mature faster than men mentally. Joss has buried a boyfriend. Joss is very competitive in sports and she NEEDS that in a boyfriend. Competiveness. Cam has issues too. It is very unhealthy for him to be all about Joss all through his entire life think about that. He has never been interested in any other woman any other girl anyone else just her. That's obsessive and unhealthy. Cam needs to experience other girlfriends. It wasn't that long ago Cam picked up a gun and pointed it at someone with the intention of shooting even on probation. So far Joss has kept herself out of trouble with the law. Cam makes quick and rash decisions not always the best or MATURE thing to do. He kept SECRETS from Joss too which played a part in him AVOIDING her by taking EXTRA shifts every chance he got and was ditching his girlfriend so she wouldn't find out he was hiding things from her. Joss did the same thing. If you remember back when Oscar died and they had the wake after his funeral and Michael stood up and said in the beginning he was worried that Oscar didn't have what it took to be Jocelyn's boyfriend because she is a strong and very independent and competitive person. Once he got to know Oscar he knew that his sister was safe because the two fit perfectly as a couple. Oscar let Joss be in front and be herself. Joss let Oscar make up his own mind how he wanted to die. They COMPLEMENTED each other. Joss is so far MENTALLY past Cam. Cam is all those things you mentioned but those are not reasons to fall in love with someone. Oscar would never have lied to or avoided Joss for any reason because he too was mentally older than his 16 years of age. He looked at life and death very MATURELY. Cam just isn't there mentally yet and so Joss was emotionally and sexually attracted to someone else given all the time apart from Cam and "issues with the porn revenge video" and ALMOST DYING, you think you would cut the girl a break. Dex is more mentally mature and she is attracted to the bad boy/danger aspect of someone new and different. You don't choose who you fall in love with you just do. Remember when Elizabeth had to learn the same lesson about dating Jason except she had kids? Jason was her drug of choice and she had to learn the hard way. Just like Carly told Joss you are like me in that way no one can tell you what to do you have to learn your own lessons yourself. If Oscar had a sister, she would have been PERFECT for Cam. Cam is stuck in high school girlfriend mode while Joss is more college man mode if that makes any sense. It's always interesting to see other people's perspectives on the same subject. You may not agree but it's interesting to see what someone else thinks.

@@gwenmarie7311 Dex is characterized as being in the same vein as Jason. Michael originally hired Dex to infiltrate Sonny’s organization as form of revenge. At that point Sonny willingly left Carly for Nina. Joss and Dex ran into each other a couple of times and were in traumatic situations. After making out a couple of times, Joss and Dex finally had sex after Joss was attacked by the Hook serial killer. Dex showed up in time to shoot the assailant and save Joss and Britt (who unfortunately died due to the poisonous snake venom on the hook). Joss then proceeded to break up with Cam, not letting him know about Dex or the fact that she slept with Dex while she and Cam were still together in a relationship.

Cam is a good guy. He works. He goes to school. He plays in his band. He takes care of his brothers. He is kind to his mom, Scotty, cousin, and friends. Cam is one of the most responsible and dependable people in Port Charles.
