That was an awesome hike, Owen, Lynn and Maggie, and the view at the top was worth the effort. Wow, I miss those days of being young and feeling invincible. After 63 years of backpacking around the world I have quit the long trails and will live the van life for the next two to three years. At 74 and four heart stents later it's time for me to slow down a bit. I'm realizing that I'm not eighteen anymore. I love your channel and how more relaxed you enjoy yourselves. I lost my little traveling buddy, Gracie, on July 2nd, so it was a sad holiday for me. She and I traversed coast to coast four times, up and down the east coast twice and several hundred miles of trails together. I'm hoping that one day another "buddy" will appear while I'm on an adventure.

We loved this video! We still love our Travato but we are warming to the capabilities of the Revel as well! Thanks for continuing taking us along on all your wonderful adventures. You all have kept sanity in our insane lives this past year and a half of Covid 19. You are family! May God bless you and may you continue to go forth and “do good”. It’s amazing that we appreciate seeing God’s beauty only when we are almost too old to physically position ourselves to see it. Keep inspiring us to push ourselves beyond what we think we are capable.

As always, you guys brought a fun adventure. No frills or chills. Just good, clean fun in the outdoors. The key ingredient is finding your happy place and then see to it that you go there regularly. My daughter-in-law adores the beach - HER happy place. Just watching the waves and digging her toes in the sand brings her peace and tranquility. Just goes to show that your happy place can be wherever you find a moment of zen. A moment where your troubles melt away. I know I am in my happy place when I take a look around me and say (out loud) Boy, we sure are lucky pups! All of this is to say that your attitude matters. You guys have an attitude that guides you to places where you’ll find comfort, challenges and fun! But tempering that is the knowledge that not all adventures work out as planned or hoped. So when that happens, you just crank up the van and move on down the road to another adventure. Never let the disappointment of one outing mess up the next one. It’s ALL really one big adventure so there’s always another chapter just around the bend in the road! Happy 4th of July! Hope your day was fun! P.S. I ordered a Blackstone griddle this morning from Wal-Mart after discovering I couldn’t find one available locally. So in a couple of days, it’ll be delivered. I never even heard of a Blackstone griddle until I saw Owen cooking on it and doing a happy dance after eating his good vittles fresh off the griddle. Maybe Wal-Mart needs to pay you for your promotion?? Or Blackstone does. LOL 😂 😂😂

Great hike! It is fairly close to us, but I think it might be a little much for us with our old knees. However when we are in Alaska every year my son takes us on really serious hikes. He is a mountain climber. We will be back in Alaska in 7 weeks! Looking forward to part two. You know I love the cooking episodes.

A question for you that’s totally off subject. Did you install the receiver piece need for Maggie’s bike trailer,chariot. If so was it a hassle? I have a trailer out fitted to carry beach equipment, maybe Frank,our dog but don’t relish the task of removing rear wheel. I like giving our local bike shop business but just had new brake pads put on. Hint, don’t balance an ice coffee in basket over rear wheel. Milk really trashes brake pads! Now I’m laughing.
