What the last two years reveals about the nature of people and the reality of governance. Why I haven't been an ancap for years.

To clarify: Easy conditions: ppl gud, want to go along to get along Under stress: ppl irrational, scared & looking for any leadership, while also taking advantage of situation to play out will to power and their psychopathies Overlords: start ripple, and then just surf the wave. Don't ever forget, that 80ft wave isn't a dude behind a curtain. It's the hysterical mothers that will their kids into dysphorias, phobias, anxiety comas. It's the bureaucrats with their ugly neurotic wives. It's the limp-wristed reddit males. It's the jelly spined, napkin, general population that will nod and say "oh you got all 5 types of jabs? well u can never be too safe!"

When your friends are dying, it IS scary. It's not the government making us scared, it's reality. Covid is real, so hell yeah, wear your mask! How lucky you are to not have lost someone you love. Grrr. When you do, then you'll believe. I'm a libertarian. Screw seatbelt laws. Let people be as stupid as they want to be, but I don't have to respect your choice. If your kids don't wear seat belts, I will judge you as a bad mother. My family is vaccinated. My choice! Wanna scold me, you are just as bad as the people you criticize. This philosophy goes both ways.

Your people are just scared of something else... being controlled. Good on you for trying to shed a little light on their psychology, but you're hardly being objective here. Gah!

@@missymusings No. You can be scared, and you can ask me for help. Don't tell me to "hell yeah, wear your mask" like its still Day 1. What you shouldn't do is talk around people trying to see if the large corporation is trying to find a patentable profitable solution when 25mg of Ivermectin prescription has been shown along with Zinc and a sane diet to provide a better herd immunity than mass efforts have provided for years now. I'm sorry that people aren't feeling objective to you. I truly am, but that isn't going to make your mindless platitudes more accepted today years into this social breakdown. You sound like a bot, programmed by a Clintonite (The rock, not the political faction) www.bbc.com/news/health-58270098 "The biggest immune response comes from people who caught Covid and were then vaccinated. We're still waiting for data on what happens the other way round." There are mass upsets over being corralled into inferior decisions by scared know-nothings boot-licking for more government. Imagine telling a pregnant woman to take a mRNA therapy that has caused miscarriages and lost babies. "How lucky you are to not have lost someone you love" What does that even mean in that context that you are so clueless? You say to let people be as stupid as they want to be, but then I don't have to respect your choice to say that do I? Clearly there should be a Pakistan / India population transfer and separation, GAH yourself.

all this ends with massive non compliance, but that requires thought and that is rare right now. the harsh reality is that there are a lot and possibly a majority of people that just don't care what is happening or don't want to deal with the slightest inconvenience in pushing back against it.

But we have to change our thoughts and words. Our thoughts need to match our prayers, and be careful, more mindful about repeating the negativity and the false narratives, or we are basically adopting the negatives as tho we are granting permissions. THOUGHTS, LIKE PRAYERS, AND WORDS ARE POWERFUL. Repeating them more than absolutely necessary, even if said sarcastically, is similar to condoning or willing things in to becoming truths. It's hard to explain in text, hoping it makes some sense. Be blessed.

I'd be interested to hear more about your thoughts on transitioning to monarchy. How do you think that might happen? How would a king arise, or be chosen? Next question, you mention it's easier to get rid of one king than one hundred senators. If monarchy is more desirable than democracy for this reason, it seems you may want to maintain a monarchy even if we must replace the monarch. In that case, who takes the throne? His son and heir, a collateral royal line (descendant of a previous king), or a noble family (if an aristocracy exists in this model)? To use the Windsors as an example, let's say Charles becomes king, and ends up being incompetent or evil, do we replace him with his son Prince William, his brother Prince Andrew, Duke of York, or perhaps the Duke of Norfolk (the premier peer of England)? If you have further thoughts on the idea, perhaps a whole video would be appropriate to discuss the kind of government you envision. Personally, I think monarchy is the most effective form of government if done correctly, meaning a lot of energy is spent training the heir and those close to the throne in governance to prepare them for the role. You also mention the desire for Christian monarchy, how do we ensure the king maintains obedience to Christ? Does the Church do that, or the people? Perhaps you haven't considered fleshing out these ideas, fair since it's extremely unlikely to come about, but if you are interested, I think it's an interesting topic.

Just about every time I hear a critique of ancap, I think to myself, "OK find me something better." But there is never anything better. Yeah, a monarchy has some good points (Hoppe has pushed that) but it probably mostly looks good because we are not suffering under one at the moment. Grass is always greener... 95% of the interactions I have with people are just fine, no problem. Anarcho-capitalism is like water to a fish. It's not to say I haven't drifted myself in some ways. I don't agree with what seems to be the ancap default on borders for example - but that is because the default is not really ancap, not because ancap is wrong. If there is no government, various borders still will be controlled. It's just that it will be the people who own that land who are doing it. Once we take care of the issue of pure survival, people should be ancap. If they are scared, tell them not to be. If they persist, and want to hire some strong men to stomp you, then kill those strong men or show them it's not in their interest. Most of those controllers are cowards anyway. You can get around cowards with a little creativity. Your life does not need to be run by them. Is it hard to be perfectly free? Yes. We are not living in Thoreau's time. But "close enough" is doable. Then the empire will crash, and we will be back to just trying to survive for a while. Life will become exciting.

Nice video. I think the way you’re thinking about the whole ancap vs monarchy vs democracy thing is a bit flawed ironically for the same reason you give later in the video. Anarchy and monarchy are just as unlikely in today’s liberal western societies because the mass of people generally believe in democracy. If people believed in anarchy or monarchy, then either of them could be possible. I think the argument for anarchy is merely that it is more moral and a more economically efficient manner of social organization.
@BraveTheWorldChannel2 жыл бұрын
oh don't worry. monarchy is not possible right now. things would have to really collapse. the distinction is, a patchwork Christian monarchy would actually work as well as preserve human dignity (as it did throughout large portions of history) but an anarcho-capitalist society, if it were to rise, would fall immediately, or not scale to any significance. at best it would be a degenerate hellhole.
@atsdroid2 жыл бұрын
@@BraveTheWorldChannel "an anarcho-capitalist society, if it were to rise, would fall immediately, or not scale to any significance" Agree. It'd be the Wild West, your gunbelt and the justice of the person next to you being the only kinds operating. The world of Mad Max. -- I've always wondered, what specifically set off the apocalypse that created the world Mad Max found himself in? It seemed to be in motion during the first film, "Mad Max" but not yet fully rubble-ized. By "The Road Warrior", however, it was complete. Sad for his character, because it seemed like he still had a chance at an enjoyable and satisfied life by the end of the 1st film, as I remember it. (got on a digression there, sry)

I tested this theory today. I just didn't wear a mask to the gym with a "oh shit, sorry, I forgot we're all still doing that"... and no one really said anything. Our gym instructor wanted to take a group photo in the end, I wouldn't let my mum grab hers (the other ladies in the class wore theirs, but I did see some of them questioning whether they should or not so I hope that's progress!). It's just so fucking retarded at this point to me.

I disagree on a lot of things, and that's okay, but you're absolutely right about how encroachment on liberty happens-or doesn't if there's mass non-compliance. Most people's biggest barrier to freedom isn't any particular leader, government in general, or corporations, it's themselves.

In the end, if your father passes before you in theory learned how to best him, what will matter more than that you never spent an evening played with him for fear of imperfection?
