that sucks man, when I was in highschool we took a school trip to fantasy land during a week day, so it was dead. Me and a group of friends went on it 8 times in a row. I think I've rode it once since then.

I rode this back in the early 90s, at the age of 12.. so thrilling.. though I recall having a sore neck.. it was eerie thinking about the car that went airborne

30, I feel that man. Ngl, finally man'd up like 4 years ago when my old friend was in town. You didn't miss much 😂 Just spin around as fast as you can until you're dizzy and then throw your head back and forth as hard as you can. 😂

Honestly y’all aren’t missing that much other than a painful ride experience I rode this ride and all the others growing up and can honestly say it sucked as a coaster(have been to plently of different Amusement parks across North America)

I really wanted to go on it but when I got old enough it’s closed for maintenance and now it’s closing forever

They better replace it with a sick ass coaster with loops

@Dman I haven't been to the mall since the fall. I will have to go see what has changed so far. I agree, it looks more like a hospital now. I hate the marble flooring. I have seen people slip on it.

It had better be replaced by another great rollercoaster. I would hate it if it got replaced by something lame.

@@ianbowie8121 Well, if you're optimistic then that's a good sign. I'm not from Edmonton, let alone an expert on what sorts of attractions Galaxyland favours.

I hope it gets replaced with some sort proper thrill coaster atleast. My biggest fear is that they are shifting the park to be (strictly) Family oriented and the wording of the closing announcement specifically details "FAMILY thrills" when talking about a replacement which really scares me that that may be their vision now. It truly sucks because there's not really much when it comes to good thrill parks on this part of the continent so galaxyland was probably the most decent park for thrills in a long distance BECAUSE MOST PARKS OVER HERE ARE JUST FAMILY PARKS TO BEGIN WITH

They couldn't get a part it needed. So, they didn't have a choice.

@@justinekrider5803 they could have had the new part custom made for them, however that would cost a lot of money that the park didn’t want to spend on a ride nearing the end of its service life anyway

I am dubious. There are dozens of rollercoasters operating which were built in the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s and are outdoors, in the elements and still maintained and operating just fine to provide tons of thrills at Cedar Point, Darien Lake, Canada's Wonderland, Magic Mountain, La Ronde. (including Schwartzkopf coasters) The Mindbender has never seen rain, snow, high winds, extremes of temperature or freeze-thaw cycles. It is almost preserved in a museum environment. I call BS on it being "beyond repair".

@@LakeNipissing it’s not beyond repair, the cost of repairs is simply beyond what galaxyland wants to spend. I’m pretty familiar with how triple 5 runs their parks and an older maintenance intensive ride is certainly not what they prefer to say the least.
