This hit me so hard. There's going to be an update. With family, I grew up never being enough, but in 2020 I started attending Celebrate Recovery. Through Christ's compassion I am on a healing journey from other people's pressure. I still struggle with the idea that I'm a failure because I'm not measuring up to other people's views or lifestyles, but I'm a work in progress.

Heavenly Father, I come to you asking for your blessings as a single mom. I’m raising my children with courage, despite the challenges I face. My sons both are special needs. I like that you said something about quitting too soon. I believe I'm called to a speaking and writing ministry, and I also have some anxiety issues I'm dealing with. Last Saturday, I had my first real speaking engagement. As soon as I got up to speak, I felt the anxiety start to rise. Three-quarters of the way through my talk, I almost passed out. I said, "I'm sorry. I feel like I'm going to pass out," and put my head down on the computer table where I was running my PowerPoint. Three or four women were suddenly around me, praying for me, and they made me go lie down on the couch in the foyer for a few minutes. I could have let someone else finish my presentation, but after about 10 minutes, I got up and finished it myself. I'm claiming victory!
