It’s One Ocean. A film by Ella Rose Howlett.
Set in Hunstanton beach, Norfolk and Portobello beach, Edinburgh. This is my first proper little documentary. I loved making it actually… Felt like there was a message that needs to be put across here… it’s a film about ocean pollution but I never actually mention the word pollution. People switch off when you say anything slightly technical when it comes to the environment! Seems kinda relevant seeing as Planet Earth 2 just ended.
Note, Hunstanton is in Norfolk, not Suffolk - my mistake - I live in Suffolk!

Oh yeah, real quick I guess, this wasn’t in any shape or form paid or an ad. I got the idea of it a while ago and just finished it now. I just did a lot of research and most of it came from the MCS.

At first i thaught its kinda a remake of the "what the forest means to me" (wich i love) But then the video suprisingly went in an other direction. And I have to say its pretty good! Sad theme but you did a great job about it. Thanks for makeing videos!

There's beaches in the Pacific that the sand is littered with tiny pieces of plastic that almost look like sand. It's gross. When I was living in Indonesia if a big storm was coming tons of trash washed up on the beaches. Once I was swimming in rough waters & got nailed in the head by a dead chicken. Ever since then I've been real conscious of where I put my trash when near the oceans.

"Sunny Hunny" is in Norfolk Ella... or do you wish it was Suffolk? I'm from near Sutton Bridge by the way. Great film, I hope people see this and take action too. I'm a diver and this stuff makes me sad and angry at the same time. My first home beach was Pevensey Bay in Sussex, then Lowestoft and now The Wash. I wish we could do like the old Vodka advert and empty the ocean of all the crap.
