Parts of this trail again show that these bigger adventure bikes are too big, too hefty to enjoy on steep tough climbs, compared to taking a CRF300 or a Himalayan

Thanks for the comment, but I believe the truth is somewhere in between, so I'll tell you my view on this. I like challenges more than anything. I drove a CRF300 (I have a test-ride video on the channel) and many hard-enduro motorcycles where I participated in numerous competitions (I owned many KTM EXC 250 and Husaberg TE300). These are proper off-road motorcycles if used with skills and knowledge. However, I truly believe that the TET tracks are most of the time too easy for a CRF300 for example, not challenging enough. I know that most of the adventure bikes are too big and too heavy for this, and makes everything 10 times harder and trickier, but it also enhances a lot the satisfaction, thrills, challenge and fun when you are on the top with a 200+ kg motorcycle. Myself and my friends enjoy a lot doing this and I believe (talking for myself) I would not smile so much and be as happy on a CRF300.

Whoever takes a crf300 to TET and enjoys it (except for like 10% of the hard parts) is just not skilled enough tbh 😂 Pretty much everything is good enough with bikes like the t7, bigger or similiar, as you guys did 💪🏼

I think any bike is capable if the rider is capable of assessing the risks and ride smart&safe... For me personally, I don't care what motorcycle I ride as long as I have fun, smile and enjoy my time there 💪

Hei hei! The sections from this video are 4 and 26. I highly recommend to try both of them, they seem the most technical and fun ones we experienced on the TET! Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe! :D

would you recommend me to go alone for these Sections in September? want to deaprt so badly (890 R).
@BeeAdventurous
@BeeAdventurous 5 ай бұрын
Hei hei. I would say it's a bit dangerous to go alone, at least I would never do this solo. Anything can happen and I guess you would want someone to be nearby to give you a hand. Dropping the bike is not the biggest issue, you'll be able somehow to lift it in the end, but if you fall and get injured or get some damage on the bike, it's nice to have friends around to help. We only had a flat tire and a bent break from a crash that were easy to fix, but the leaking radiator for example was the end of it. Of course, it depends on the skill level, but section 26 is not easy. The GoPro doesn't always show how steep or difficult it is, but trust me when I'm saying it's truly technical terrain! My recommendation is to go with at least another person. Thanks for the comment!
@kovrcek

@@BeeAdventurous you should carry a liquid metal with you. might help in situations like these. and you can always piss in the radiator lol (yeah I know it sounds funny but it's a real fix)
@BeeAdventurous
@BeeAdventurous 4 ай бұрын
Haha I actually did it once. We had liquid metal with us and also bought the filling liquid that stops leaks in the radiator 🥹 The problem was that the guys were from UK, so a long ride home and we didn't want to risk with more off-road.
@kovrcek
@kovrcek 4 ай бұрын
@@BeeAdventurous yeah a very hard decision whether to continue and risk it or go home. I would fix it with the metal and try to get to some nearest mechanic so he fixes it properly, then continue the trip. There is always some mechanic all over the world. Also I heard you can cut the fins and basically weld the broken circuit shut (in worst case) - never done it really though. Aircooled bikes are best in this area lol. I too had my share of cooling issues. Don't like water cooling but in high temps air cooled engines overheat easily. Not to mention when riding offroad in slow stuff.
@BeeAdventurous
@BeeAdventurous 4 ай бұрын
@@kovrcek you're completely right. Both of them have pros and cons. Air-cooled suffer in traffic, slow riding, high temperatures, but you'll never have issues with coolant leakage. The water-cooled are usually not having this issues, but one stone in the wrong place at the radiator and it's kind of done for the day :)) Don't forget to subscribe for more adventures :D

Too big, too wide, far too heavy, too many HP even with all the electronics, these maxi trails like the KTMs or the Tenerés, with the so high center of gravity, are not made for this kind of "trailing" in small tracks in forest.
@BeeAdventurous
@BeeAdventurous 2 ай бұрын
If we managed to do it, I think the bikes are alright for this. It would for sure be easier with a 300 2 strokes, but not as fun in my opinion 😉 I love the struggle on the big heavy bikes

@@BeeAdventurous All tastes are in nature. Even some guys pay a lot of money to be whipped by strong ladies in black leather, so I'm not more astonished. Personally I hate struggling in a simple TET track, so I prefer to use a good trail bike, around 150 kg with an easy tractor engine of 40 hp at the rear wheel. Enough speed on road, light enough on TT with first rate suspensions, sweet torquey engine, good tires (with a 40 hp engine it's a breeze to get), good brakes and comfortable. There is some choices of such bikes, like the AJP PR7, the tool for voyaging safely without suffering anywhere. The Kove 450 Rally is another candidate, a lot of guys seem very happy with. Maybe I'm deformed as I learnt TT motorcycle at the end of the sixties with trial (not trail, trial) where finesse is primordial, not the power. Enduro bikes are specialized competition things, useless in dual sport, I know that well. I have owned several as I have made a lot of enduro competition for more than 10 years. So I have a bit of knowledge about TT riding. I do not say that maxi trails are bad, I say simply that these bikes are made for open espaces, like white dirt roads, where their power and their weight are meaningful or at least not a nuisance. But if you like to struggle and sweat you have perfectly the right to use a mammoth bike.
