Your home is so cozy.I love it!My neighbor from the Philippines had a cat named Pogey meaning handsome.My Filipina neighbor passed away and I miss her so much.Peiple would say you are like brother and sisters always together.We would go shopping and we're on decoration committee.We would do all sorts of things always laughing and being such good friends.i planted a crepe myrtle tree which blooms red flowers in her honor.She was Pampanga from Angeles City.

Chris, don't go to net cafe. There is LTE (corridor) on the highway and spots near hospitals and government offices in Naga. You can find the coverage map online. Load what you want to upload on your phone and go to someplace where the LTE is good and you get about 1 hour (4 15 minute segments) for 20 peso load. 2-5 Mbp/s beats net cafe by a wide margin. The phone plans and promos are designed to get the maximum amount of money from poor people not give the best service. I just buy straight load and turn off data when I'm not using it. At least try it until you get home internet. And maybe do it after if your home internet has a data cap because you can't get a GB of data any cheaper than straight load. I have used 6 GB data for 50 pesos straight load.

Not necessarily so, Chad. My Filipina wife of 30 years loves both countries and spends months 'back home' and months here in cold ass Chicago. I got the best of all worlds thanks be to GOD.

glad to see you have a much better house than the other one in the slum that you were having prob with the internet is the one big major prob in philippines mate its been know for bad coverage world wide , how long have you been in philippines ive been living in laguna now for nearly 5 yrs ..only downfall i dont like is to go into manila every 6 mths to get extension on my visa , if i had a nice gf like your wife then later i could get married and not worry about the visa all the time .. cheers .

Chis, like I said before, your house is really spacious, beautiful , comfortable and homey. Pogi looks very healthy and well behaved. Melody very pretty. God bless you both. Oh by the way, Naga City is beautiful place. I have my nephew who is a doctor and his family live there.

Haven't watched the video yet but "Pogi"? LOL We have a cat named Pogi (which means "handsome" in Tagalog). My wife grew-up close to Naga City and we actually flew out of Naga to Manila once.

You can get excellent internet if you choose to live in a part of the city that has good internet. In this case you don't get to choose where the family house is.

Oh, that helps explain the Navy phrase "Pogi bait." It's what some call Gedunk or fattening snacks. The dog is nice looking, too.
