It was not a great way to approach someone with "Get Off", but after he explained how tired they were of being burgled I can kind of understand it. And, fair dues to him for apologizing. Also, once he realised that you were no threat he gave you some tips on other sites to visit. I really feel for these companies who are constantly being burgled by scumbags. Great visit BP.

The problem I have with the burglary and such defense is its an assumption that the person is automatically bad so their agressive actions is justified. If their that affraid and suspicious of everyone then they need to put up a gate need to put a gate and close their reception.

Even if they had been repeatedly burgled, to equate a person with a camera as a potential burglar is to equate all photographers as criminals. They aren't. Nor do burglars use cameras to "case the joint". To think so is an indicate of poor security practises. Such things only happen in movies.

@@TheSadButMadLad I hear you, but at the same time if we put ourselves in their shoes, you can kind of understand why they are triggered so easily. Its not right of course and to be honest in this instance the guy did offer his apologies which very seldomly happens. My personal opinion is that the UK is too easy on criminals and its also a societal issue. I used to live in Germany. They had metal containers outside train stations, each morning these were filled with newspapers, if you took one you were expected to pay for it in box provided. If these were in the UK, nobody would pay and they would constantly be vandalised. I lived in a ground floor apartment, one weekend (when on the plane home) I remembered that I had forgot to lock the back door leading out on to a shared communal garden. Where my free-standing satellite dish was left. When I got back on Monday, everything was as I left it and I kind of knew it would be. The scumbags who steal from homes and businesses in the UK are all known to police, because they are repeat offenders. If they were in Germany they would be known to police once. The judicial system is way too lenient with these people in the UK.

Unbelievable BP. I’ve no idea how some of these firms ever get any work done!! They must sit there all day gawping out of the window looking for scary people with cameras. And they can’t all wait to come out and see you 😂 If others are just wandering into these buildings and scaring people, it doesn’t say much for their security measures 🙄 Sort of came good in the end though 👍🏼

I feel sorry for anyone who has been burgled, broken in to, robbed or whatever and it’s human nature to try and defend your patch but when my van got broken into I didn’t feel like attacking anyone who walked past it. 6:45 Nope. They don't need to protect their personal and private information. Only that which they have recorded in their systems. Which aren't visible from outside. The company cannot protect people from being seen, not even their number plates. That has nothing to do with data protection. To think so means they don't understand data protection.

7:00 The money you pay for a number plate doesn't mean you own the number plate. You own the right to use the numbers and letters on it. But the DVLA still own the numbers and letters. The DVLA can rescind the right to use it at any time.

It doesn't matter if he owns the number plate, or not. What matter is it is public information. That's why it's on the outside of the car, clearly visible, for anyone to see and record. And, you shouldn't assume that a guy with a camera is up to no good. The assumption is innocence without any credible evidence to the contrary.

We've sometimes encountered hostility when taking some of our videos/photos for our various social media accounts. Even when we try to amicably reason and explain there's no nefarious intent AND explain the Drone laws we've still faced abuse, name calling and threats of the police.

I thought burglars wore black and white striped tops, carried a swag bag with a crow bar. Who knew that thieves now come in daylight with a camera, stand outside and video the crime. The courts must love it. If I was a burglar, being told to 'get off' would make me more prone to visit them after hours. Call it revenge. The Government encourage people to film Reg Numbers. It shows if the car is Taxed and MOTed. ie legal.

5:00 Telling someone to get off the land because they are filming doesn't really solve the issue. The person can continue to film from off the property and then the property owner has no say. The better way is to work with the photographer to explain the situation and try and get the photographer on board. It might not work, but it's more likely than being aggressive.

Its the same old excuse for being rude and confrontational to you "oh we have had a lot of problems with break ins" What a load of rubbish, I worked on a small business park for 10 years on the edge of bedford, not once did anyone break in to any of the buildings, we had gypsies on the car park a few times, but no break ins
