Don't know if anyone caught this or not, but when the father said that nobody loves the shooter, he broke that blank stare off of the shooter's face. The shooter's eyes widened when the father said all the love goes to the father's son (and all the other victims), and not the shooter. The father is very smart, his words slashed the shooter's ego in two.

He should’ve dug deeper into that. Shooters don’t care when they’re being called monsters or evil…in fact they like it. Go at his lack of friends, lack of love, the fact he’s a loser and a loner. Go at the fact weakness caused him to mess up, not strength. The fact that they’d all kill him if he didn’t have a weapon. Go at what causes him to commit the crimes in the first place. He wants to feel like the boss, so make him feel like the dork that he is.

And the last statement he made, "now it's time for you to be afraid of me". Epic. The families and attorneys chose right by letting him finish off the speaking portion for the families. It is WRONG to hate a defense team for defending someone you despise. For every criminal like him there are many who are innocent and need a decent defense. Attitudes like yours and his may jeopardize that. Want to talk about karma? What if Karma decides YOU should be falsely accused and YOU need a decent defense? What if the crime isso heinous and public that no defense attorney will give YOU an adequate defense for fear of being threatened People like you and this man do nit understand at all why our judicial system is the best in the world

Nicolas Cruz was a product of our broken system...he is to blame but our system is also to blame bc Nicolas Cruz deserved to be protected while still an innocent child who had no control over the neglect he suffered...which in turn resulted in this horrific act with loss of so many innocent life's that will effect families for generations ahead... Nicolas Cruz will undoubtedly meet his demise within the prison system. Few will agree, but the fact is all these children could have been saved...if the system had stepped into Nicolas's misery from the time of his birth...even b4 while his incapable parents set the course of his existance.....it's said, "if you see something say something"...too many ppl ignore the red flags of warning! Again, this could have been avoided...now these parents are left to suffer their loss & guilt the remainder of their days!! It's now a dangerously sad world we presently live... BTW...yes, I do understand the impact of senseless murder and know 1st hand the life long trauma for every person involved. The pain never leaves, it only changes... God will bless the parents who must struggle each day in finding their way to continue on without the love of these innocent lives taken.

This man's speech was truly epic! Full of eloquence and self control. Conveying both power and personal integrity- he spoke with a capable voice. And without hesitation he looked his son's murderer deep into his eyes when he spoke to him, commanding undivided attention and respect from his adversary. He took his time to speak and every word he uttered carried a decisive significance. Mr. Oliver's speech was a masterclass in the art of oration, with each phrase carefully crafted to inspire fear- striking a deep sense of foreboding trepidation in the heart of this sociopath. It was a moment that he will not soon forget. Especially that closing line when he said "It's time for you to be afraid of me." {shivers} He reminded me of a great King! I was honestly waiting for the dramatic and emotional melodies to start playing in the background, seriously!

Even though he isn't showing it I don't think he never got through his feelings. Its been more than 4 years since his son's death. Manuel kept protesting so hard for change that he'd climbed on a crane. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nK-Sdbp61sqpkmQ.html
