Raps fans have become too spoiled and cranky. We don’t wanna watch a guy go through the process of getting better. As soon as he’s struggling we wanna stick him on the trading block. Give Pascal a chance to fail and struggle his way through. I swear half our fans take completely for granted that on a basketball level, this last 6 months has probably been the first adversity Pascal has ever faced. He’s a great guy with strong character and I think he deserves the chance to figure it out.

Personally I rather see Pascal build a house with his bricks like these rather than not try. We paid this man the big bucks so he has to learn to be clutch. Sure there are players that just have that CLUTCH factor, but it can also be learned and perfected. I am sure that Pascal has not been the last shot taker in the levels he played in the past, so he has to have go through these misses to learn.

Defence has been the bigger issue since OG went down even before then it wasn't consistent.

Lebron is trying to avoid blame by risking a critical bucket rather than passing and then pointing a finger at someone else and saying, "That guy missed an open corner 3. It's his fault. He's not good enough to play with me." Pascal on the other hand as you noted is still brave enough to take the shot. I think the bricks are giving him the yips though. He's over thinking the shots. He needs a little couch time with a sports psychologist or something. His teammates are playing it right, being supportive. He will get through this but he does need to talk it through.

I think Pascal is a gem of a player, just don't give him the ball when trying to close out a game. He is not a closer, neither is Kyle Lowry.The question is: why does Nick Nurse keep doing this, seeing both him and Lowry have messed up in the past during closing games.

The expectation that Siakam would eventually lead the Raptors was shortsighted because he either played behind DeRozan, Lowry, or Kawhi for the bulk of his short stint in the NBA. If I were Masai, I would've given him room to prove his worth/value rather than bless him with the Brink's truck.

NO !! It's time Masai talks to Nick Nurse. People talking about defence? wow. Have they took a look at the shooting %? Here are some stats: Field goals: 38/91. So that means those guys took 91 shots and made only 38. But but who did it? Not the bench. Most of these shots were taking by Pascal missed, Fred missed, Norman missed, and Kyle missed. Those guys needed over 35+ mins to score a bit over 20+ points, some less, which is disgraceful. Then, from beyond the arch: 10/33.That means those guys took 33 shots and only only 10 of them from 3's. That wasn't the bench neither. That was Pascal, Fred, Norm, and Kyle. Again that costed them lot of points at the other end of the floor. We're not talking about defence here. Talking about blowing away the Wolves, the worse team in the NBA. Didn't happen. Not very efficient. While championships teams have 40+ assists/game, we had 24. That means those players can't see the floor or they're selfish players. They love their numbers on the stats the next day. It looks good to have 20+ points/game, but they don't say how many they missed which costs us deeply at the other end. This is not Pascal Siakam's fault. This "in limbo" coach has shooters sitting on the bench, great shooters, but he refuses to use them. His "8 men rotation theory" is killing us. Another thing, he does not have the balls to tell one of his midgets guards to go to the 2nd unit. This isn't working those 2 together anymore....peace.

Let's be real here no superstar ever signing in Toronto. So, stop holding on to the past and start building for the future. They have to accept that the fact at some point you have to rebuild because every team in the NBA did that and holding on to mediocrity just for the sake of hoping you make the playoffs is prolonging the process of building for the future. Siakam plain and simple is not a clutch player also he is not a superstar. I said this a while ago, Kawhi Leonard made Siakam looked good. Siakam needs to step up and earn what he is being paid and stop over dribble the ball, he is too predictable and teams know how to defend him, he needs to expand his repertoire.

Pascal ain't a superstar. Certainly not a 30 mil player. If he has the mamba mentality he can become one. During last season he blamed the gym shutdowns for not working at his game. To quote a scout for another player which relates to Siakiam. "Hes two years away from being 2 years away"

Pascal is extremely overrated and its unfortunate he's being paid as much as he is at the end of the day. I think he's a great player, has a huge upside and eventually could meet his potential, but I worry that all this hype as gotten to his head and his bs out of control ISO ball play is a big factor (that thankfully he's starting to smarten up about and make simpler plays). Just watching him play, sans analytics, you see a player that can be extremely uncoordinated at times. Every time I see his turnaround, baseline jumper/spin move or a out of control drive to the basket they feel like hail marys. Just in general he is not in control when he's playing and this makes him very streaky and this shows up in the score sheet. Pascal more often than not is getting high teen to low twenties scoring (as a star player these numbers are unacceptable though) but his efficiency is terrible. Every now and again he'll have that good night, but you can see that he hasn't changed anything in his game that night, the shots are just dropping and he's "feeling it". The problem is he's not gathering himself when he goes up for lay-ups, he's not going up strong and controlled; they are just wild shots even when he's taking a damn lay up (hence why he missed the one the other night). A lot of this goes back to the season with Kawhi. Pascal was not the number one and everyone knew it. Pascal got to ride his coat-tails and reap the open court that was given to him through Kawhi's presence. I remember when seeing Pascal corner threes was quite a regularity and that was definitely his shot back then, but he got those shots because of Kawhi. I remember when Kawhi left and everyone started talking about how Pascal was the new number one, but to me his game really was a very solid role-player next to someone else. And then his break-out season happened and everyone confirmed what they were saying about him pre-season. His numbers were definitely up, but a lot of it had to do with him getting more usage. I didn't see a player take a significant leap, but someone who just got more opportunities than they did before. Then the lockout happened and he comes back to the bubble and everyone starts wondering what happened to Pascal?? I don't think anything happened, just the hype finally settled. He was exactly what he's been, except now we have a player who's lost his confidence because he's been put in a role he can't fulfill which to me is the real tragedy of the situation. Like I said, I think he's a good player, but not in the way he's being utilized. I hope for his sake Toronto, can put someone next to him like a Kawhi, or they trade him and he can be a solid number 2 for some other team. Otherwise I think he's going to have a very disappointing NBA career.
