01:15 SO funny! Great job and appreciate the shout-out. #notsponsored Ambulance sounded good, but the FPV drone shots were a bit over the top and for some (maybe) nauseating visually. All that said, if you want a subwoofer torture test for a Michael Bay film, watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen towards the end when (SPOLER) Shia is being "revived" there is a slow-motion helicopter that flies slow-mo overhead. Most home theaters cannot play the notes/tones during that sequence. Another driving scene you may want to check out --albeit it's 5.1 only --is Driven. Watch the "coin trick" scene set to the song "Money". Seriously, turn it up and enjoy!

Good list. I'd also add Mad Max Fury Road, Bladerunner 2049, Dune, Moonfall & Into the Spiderverse.

Ready player one is my fav. Criminally underrated

The Ready Player one thing. WB actually owned a lot of the references so it made it easier. The Delorean was Universal, but The Shining, King Kong, Godzilla, The Iron GIant, Mortal Kombat, all WB properties.

An oldie but certainly a goodie, APOCALYPSE NOW really gives my Atmos system a workout! The overheads really kick in during Redux and Final Cut when Kilgore's helicopter is flying over our boys on the boat with his recorded message on loudspeaker saying "I will not hurt or harm you. Just give me back the board (surfboard), Lance. It was a good board and I like it."

My absolute favorite is the movie SUPER 8 during the train wreck scene. That 1 scene sets the bar for sound systems!!

My home theater set up is a Sony 890 J master series 83 inch all hooked up to a Sonos arc sound bar a Sonos Jem, three subwoofers and surround sound by Sonos five all hooked up to a Panasonic 4K THX certified DVD player! I’m a happy camper!

I showed top gun maverick to my family at Thanksgiving along with fall. They did not disappoint. I also have dolby Atmos. Bullet train was also great but it was streamed using dolby digital plus which is also decent enough.

My favorite atmos movies would be 1.midway 2. Mad max fury road 3.Edge of tomorrow 4.aquaman 5. Hacksaw ridge. Midway will be hard to beat in my opinion it’s insane. I’ve got a 7.2.4 setup and it rocks my whole house.

Ambulance is brilliant. Hot Fuzz is mental with bass.

I just watched a video that was displaying the object-based audio cues in the new Top Gun and it showed that while there's lots of surround audio there's actually very little in the Atmos "height" channels. The occasional plane zooming overhead. But it sounds like your actual experience with it was sufficiently immersive that it didn't matter, which is good.

My top 5 changes. Bloodsport 4k, The Conan Chronicles, Lord of the rings trilogy, Blade Runner, Alien. My Top 5 extends to another second Top 5. 1. Predator 2. Goonies, 3. Top Gun 4. The Batman 5. The Shining.
