I feel like, as someone in their early 30’s, drinking and drugs are no longer fun. As you get older, your friends group shrinks, your body can no longer pull all-nighters (even more true if, like me, you work in a hospital and are frequently on-call) and you start craving close, meaningful relationships, especially (in my case) romance. It’s hard though. Keep your head up. I get the deep depression, too.

The gym is a good place to start for people who feel unhealthy phyiscally -it definitely saved my mental health almost overnight.

Having someone to go with is really helpful but don’t let not having someone hold you back. You can learn lots from videos online so just search for advice and you will find it. Take it easy though. Going to the gym really helped me improve my life and how I feel about myself.

i was in the same boat about the phone part. for awhile i only had people call me for rides, money or something from me. It sucks but i got out of it buy just focusing on myself more and doing big leaps. sometimes you dont really know what is going to happen until you try. Just glad i ran into this channel

Honestly giving up the phone and being on it all the time was so hard! I still catch myself on it more than I want to be and have to hold myself accountable and get off of it and go do something else! Also I'm so glad you're here!

My big take away from this video is start something new. It can be hard but start small. When starting something new you are almost guaranteed to be bad at it so don’t let that discourage you. Habits you start could be: Going to the gym Running Cycling Swimming Walks/hikes Sports Learning an instrument Reading books Stretching/yoga Gardening There is lots more. But if you feel that you spend lots of time being lazy, try and start something new but START SMALL. For example start with 3 minutes of stretching a day and work yourself up for doing 30 minutes. I hope my little rant might help someone. I really enjoy this style of video Danull

We all have our own destinies. To escape the curse of bedrot and discover the self is a right that comes with life that many never take. Making meaning and finding fulfillment out of the now is a gift, that's why they call it the present!!!
