She picked up her bloodied sword, and rose before the enemy. Her body hurt, but her heart hurt more. As she stood in front of the enemy she could see him. Memories flashed through her mind, as she watched him smile at the sight of her. She loved him with all she had, but he never loved her back. She bore her secrets to him, her desirers, her every waking thought. But it was all useless, he used her to gain information, and to make her weak. So, as she stood there bloodied sword in hand, she spoke. The words were soft, but held so much in them. "You broke my heart," She breathed in and exhaled. Her voice steady as she spoke the next set of words. "So now, I will break yours." Before he could process what she was saying. Her sword was through the man's black damaged armor, and it was now peaking through his back. The man looked up, his blue eyes fading into nothing. Blood poured from his mouth, and he fell. A tear slid down her cheek. She could not figure out whether she was happy, or she was sad. She had just won, but she felt like she had just lost at the same time.

“You’ll never sit comfortably on my throne.” The woman had whispered through her bloodied lip and broken teeth. Her voice held the strength of a hundred storms and her eyes burned with the intensity of the sun. He had laughed at that and struck her head from her body. At the time it had seemed an empty threat from a woman who had lost it all. Still he remembered those words and they rustled in his ears like the sound of leaves in a forest in his dreams. Her words screamed in his ears when he heard that one had survived. A bastard daughter but her daughter all the same. Still the daughter was a child that had not even reached her tenth birthday yet and he left her alone. She was no threat. The words burnt into his skin over the years as the child grew and his paranoia increased. He saw a rebellion in every shadow and whispered word from a courtier. It was then the executions of nobles and citizens began all in the vain attempt to stop his fear. It did not. He had half destroyed the country by the time the child came. Though the bastard daughter was no longer a child but a newly formed queen. She already had proclaimed herself the rightful queen of his land and had been coronated in the temple of her grandfather. He chuckled madly at every battle his army lost and heard no words from his advisers only the words that woman had spoken. They vibrated in his head and branded every part of his skin. He now never left the throne and clutched onto it tightly. The child came for him herself. His army had abandoned him and his advisers fled. Still he sat on the throne. She came into the throne room flanked by men that he recognised and men that were as unfamiliar as the sun was to him now. The child looked every inch a queen and despite her eyes being a different colour to her mother’s they held the same fire. He laughed at her and repeated the words “you’ll never sit comfortably on my throne.” The girl laughed at him and replied “it was never yours to begin with.” Then she struck his head from his body as he had done her mother.

A chuckle bubbled up in my throat, through the tangy taste of copper that dripped from my split lip. "Why are you laughing?!" He demanded, looking down at me with hate in his eyes. "I took everything from you! Your family, your lover, your people, your throne!" He looked down at the deceptively delicate circle of gold that I clutched in my hand. With deft fingers, he plucked it out of my numb fingers. "Your crown." He sneered. Without even hesitating, he settled the jeweled band onto his own head. "I have won, and there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop me." I grinned, and waited the scant few seconds that it needed to kick in. He stumbled slightly, and began blinking rapidly as a confused look crossed his face. He clutched at his throat, his face turning red as he struggled to draw breath. I started laughing again as I pushed myself to my feet and swayed slightly from the movement. "Is something wrong?" It was obviously a rhetorical question as he fell to his knees. "Oh, you thought that was my crown." I chuckled, and shook my head. "Yeah no. That crown is one that is traditionally gifted to enemies of the crown." I explained as his face turned redder and redder. "It has a few hidden compartments in it that are filled with enough cyanide to kill a horse." I knelt next to him as he gasped for what was likely his last breath of air. "When you get to hell, give the devil my regards. My debt to him is paid in the blood of my greatest enemy, and my throne is once more mine."

POV: You're an evil queen and a rebellion rises against you. "That throne does not belong to you anymore, it never has." A rebel yelled. His fellows cheered in agreement with him. They rebels had gathered outside of the gates of my castle. There were a lot of them. Too many to count. Recently, the "Brave Men Rebels" have gotten increasing support from my people. They're loud mouths spouting nonsense that my people have gone to believe. Pathetic really, these rebels. I would honor a worthy opponent but these... these traitors are not worthy of my sympathy. There is one thing they are worthy of and one thing only. My wrath. "Make these easier on us sweetheart and surrender to us." Another rebel called out. There loud voice can be heard to my ears as I step onto the top of the gate and face these traitors myself. There is no perfect queen. There can never be one but I tried my best. Blood, sweat, and tears were poured onto my throne as soon as I sat on it. For these anarchist to call it the names they say, revolts me. My love's life was taken as I fought for my throne. It was his dream to see me, see both of us ruling together. Unfortunately, his life was snuffed out before he could. I will continue his dream and continue the responsibility I was given. I will protect this country like it's my own heart and never, never, let anyone unworthy take it. "Kill the Evil Queen!" They started chanting. A grin crawled on my expression. "Thank you for the booming entrance, you snakes." I hissed. I was angry. Angry at the thought they can take my throne so easily. Despite the second of silence after my words they continue their chants of my death. "Anyone," I yelled out, "anyone who does not want to lose their life at my hands are free to leave right now. Those who stay, well... get ready to end up in hell." I snarled and snapped my neck. I gave a wide smile to the rebels. No one moved at first then they slowly started to leave. The thousands slowly became hundreds. My deafening laugh gave out causing a flash of fear on the remaining rebels faces. The rebel who was so vocal in the beginning yelled out, "You're a murder, a fake, who does not deserve this crown." I gave out a loud sigh. These idiots. "I fully deserve this throne. I fought for it for it is rightfully mine. Those who go against me, sadly are six feet below ground which where you will be soon." I picked up my bow and an arrow. "You started this war. I will quickly end like nothing ever happened." I place my arrow against my bow and pulled it back. "You may win this battle but you won't-," win the war blah blah blah. Before he could finish whatever trash he was saying an arrow pierced his head. The other rebels turned pale white with fear everywhere. "I've already won."

"You could have ruled with me, you know." He rights his crown, looking down at me with cold eyes. I snarl, though my heart splinters for the boy I knew. The boy he was. "No. I couldn't. Not if it would have lead to this." And around us lay bodies. The dead, the dying, all covered in blood. "You mourn for them." His lip raises as he gestures to the fallen with a look of contempt. "As you should, but seem unable to do." He does nothing but scoff. "Father never mourned. Not even for our mother." "Father was cruel, he cared for nothing. No one. How I hoped you wouldn't end up the same." "But you weren't there to stop it from happening, where you?" He yell, suddenly enraged. "You left! You left, and hid, and turned away from your family! From me! You left me with him! Alone." "A choice I will forever regret. As I will this." And then, before he can react, I call on my magic. With everything I have left, with the last of my will, I form a blade with no equal, and I stab it through my brother's heart. "What-" He falls to his knees, shock evident on his face as blood begins to fall from his mouth. He looks at me then, eyes wide. "Forgive me, little brother." Slowly, I crawl over to him. Just as he is about to fall, I catch him, gently holding him in my lap. The crown rolls off his head. "Forgive me." And as the cool light fades from his eyes, I pray to the saints. I beg each and every one of them to forgive him, to grant him eternity in peace. I look around me, tears falling from my cheeks, taking in all the carnage. We won.

POV: You were crowned as the new ruler of your kingdom, You lift your chin up with no emotion as the citizens cheered with pride and satisfaction. You uphold your kingdom's legacy as you broke your marriage the heir of the emperor's request, You have ruled with pride and power among your territories. "I will bring our kingdom to new heights." The crowd burst into cheers and smiles, You sighed in relief as this made you felt the calming storm before destruction hit. You had passion and hopes as you strive to rule the kingdom's territories, You heard a loud thunder as you felt 5 unknown scents emerged with the wind. You had a small smile as three bursts into your private office, You stood up expressing a calming yet intimidating aura "Attack!!!!" The two motioned into a fighting stance yet the third one lunged themselves at you, You sighed as you unsheathed your sword. It felt time slowed down or it was you? Your slashes were lightning, Unknowing where it lands yet it deals fatal damage. You were known as the gracious hunter by the east, Bl00d trickled onto your sword as you observed their features wanting to know who are they? "How Unfortunate." You said as you open your window, You look up upon the moon. It shined brightly as the breezing wind uncovers the scent of fresh bl00d and also a small prey "Let the hunting, Begin." You said as your aura was devouring the room, It was cold yet terrifying.

And here’s a thing daddy, I don’t like to associate myself with men.” You said as you wiped the blood off the dagger with my finger. You looked around in the court, piles of dead beings who assumed they could stop you. You sat back and looked him in the eyes. “The queen is the storm. She is the queen this world is yet to see. She’ll be ruthless and high. And if she won’t be given, she’ll take back HER throne.” You smirked before harshly kicking his face, hearing a very well audible crack. The minister came running, a bit bloody. An expression of fear flashed on his face as he saw the destruction around him. “The Royal family is dead!” You declare loudly as you stand up, walking over to the minister, placing a hand on his shoulder. “I shall inherit the throne. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!”

I play the playlist and, like, 15 minutes in I look at my phone to see where in the playlist am I JUST TO SEE THE SERIES BEING PLAYED IN THE BACKGROUND. Bodies littered the Earth, marking this place as a tragic bloodstain in the histories of the kingdom. Nothing would make her happier than to wash the blood from her skin and to walk away and never look back at this wretched land, but her work here was not done. You start to fight, you have k*lled all the guards and you're running through the castle. You look into the mirror, you saw how dirty you looked. After seven years you are free, you remember when you turned sixteen and they forced you into a cell. You walked in the ceremony, they were about to make your older sister the queen. You look at your sister her eyes are filled with anger. "My queen" the people say as they bow down to you "Hello sister I'm here to take what's mine" "No your supposed to stay in the cell and I was supposed to be the queen!" Your sister yells. "You took my throne, you locked me into a cell for seven years!I was sixteen sister!I'm twenty three now!" You yelled. All the town people look at your sister and began to boo her. You walked up to the Thorne,you weren't in your nice dresses or wearing makeup and heals. But the town people admired how beautiful you were with and without make up. One more time.. You're welcome." My eyes flashed open and my breathing was heavy. I looked around the dark room. I realized I was drenched in sweat, tears streaming down my face. In the midst absolute fear, I quietly escaped from my bed as I raced down the halls to my daughters room. Scared and out of breath, I slowly opened the door to see her peacefully sleeping in bed. I released a huge sigh. "Thank you God, for letting it be a nightmare."

The flames licked their way up the many cold corpses that resided all over the ground. The fire had stained their bones black and the blood exploded like glowing lava in their veins. The screams combined with the crackling sound laid like an uncomfortable blanket around them all, dead as alive. Aurelia knelt before a deceased man with a sword smeared in her victims' blood folded in her hands. On her face revealed a creeping sadness that made her grit her teeth with the feeling of surrender. Her gaze was fixed on the sword, whose blood dripped down and stained her hands and pants dark red. Suddenly, a rumbling could be heard ahead of her and she was immediately pulled out of her trance. She slowly moved her gaze up to the source of the sound only to furrow her brow in wonder. "Well, well, at last, Aurelia Declour herself has been fought and brought down. I have taken everything and everyone you held dear and burned it all so that not even the ashes will linger among the winds. I have reaped and torn until nothing remains of your so-called empire. No more tears for you to shed. And the moment you ask for mercy, I know once again that vengeance is mine. So beg, Aurelia, because this is the last time you'll ever see the sun shine again." But what Ezkiel expected of Aurelia's response, he was rebuffed. Her brow remained wrinkled and her face confused. She didn't recognize this man standing before her with killing eyes and sharp words. Perhaps somewhere distant in her memory, his eyes seemed like someone she had once loved, but they were colored by the desire for revenge. Ezkiel's haughty voice immediately shrank as he detected her confusion. His self-conscious smile that had formed on his lips faded. "Who are you?" The three words that Ezkiel had never expected would be the ones that would truly destroy him. Crush his body and soul. For what was the point of celebrating a revenge that would not even be remembered? What was the point of feeling invincible when the battle was not even won? Her words knocked him completely out of focus and he suddenly found it difficult to stand upright with his demanding apparatus. "W-what do you mean? Don't you remember me?" His previously sharp words and tough facade slowly began to crack under the nagging feeling of deprivation. Startled, he took a step back, still stunned by the information he had suddenly and unexpectedly received, desperate to try and find a way out of this nightmare. His revenge would never be satisfied. He would never be rid of this tingling anger that twisted in his throat and clenched his fists. "I've finally got a hit on you. Plucked you down from that damn pulpit you'd always so proudly sit on and make the rest of us look like little peasants. And you don't remember a thing?" Aurelia tilted her head and looked deeper into his ebony black eyes, covered in a mass of unexplainable emotion, like an inferno raging with everything that was possible to feel. "I don't understand, what have I forgotten?" He sank a blob of spit and lifted his head so he was looking down judgmentally at her to show dominance. "My promise to destroy your empire, people and success, in revenge for you taking mine." But what he didn't know of was that he had already won this battle. For some things cannot be erased from the memory, such as the eyes she had once admired so deeply and loved so dearly. She sighed before slowly bringing the sword up and shifting her gaze back to the sharp blade that had millions of innocents' blood on it. "What are you doing?" His voice aware of a beginning of self control again, which he had lost for a brief second in honor of her abrupt statement. From his lips escaped a humiliating laugh thinking she was going to attack him, but to his surprise, she placed the blade against her neck while her eyes never left his. He hastily stepped forward the moment it dawned on him what was about to happen before his eyes. "I've always wanted to take revenge. Ever since I can remember, I have been preparing to serve your disembodied head to your beloved as thanks for your visit. But it is only now that it has occurred to me that the only way that I can defeat you is by my own death." His eyes snapped open in astonishment as he was pinned to the ground. "No!" He exclaimed, unable to control himself. A smug smile crept on her lips and she laughed mockingly at him. "The day you declared war on me was the day you faced your destiny." She pressed the sword further against the vulnerable skin of her neck, making the blood slowly squeak out. "Your revenge will never be fulfilled and it is to my honor. Because of me, you will forever live in a nightmare you have created solely for yourself." Before he could reach and break in, still paralyzed by the shock that had immobilized his body, she let her gaze slide around her one final time to observe all her once loved ones who had fought for her kingdom and queen like never before. She smiled faintly, for then she knew her mission on this earth was accomplished. She moved it back onto him before with a single movement, cutting off the last lifeline. Her empire had died with her. Just as a part of him did.

The heat of the fire could be sensed within a mile. The fire entirely engulfed a whole building every bit inch of each brick. Somehow all the chaos that was happening right now feels like a lullaby to my ears. "I should have just killed you back then," the man in front of me spat. The hatred for me could be seen as unmistakable. Upon hearing the sentence, a laugh began to escape my mouth before I started to laugh maniacally and stood up from the stool of the throne. The laugh simmers down as seconds pass. I held my head high and looked down at the kneeling man in front of me. The blood was everywhere on his clothes. The corner of his mouth was bleeding due to the beating he receive. Once upon a time, I hold a great love for him and I thought the same case happened to him too. But his action proved otherwise. I found out he has another woman and before I could command the punishment for him, he came to me with a whole soldier and sent me to prison for execution. Yet here I am. Above him. Stronger than him. "You such a weak king. Even after I let you rule my kingdom there is nothing you could do better than me," I mimicked him. Reaching for the dagger behind my back, I crouched down on the same level as him. My eyes bore into his black eyes. How stupid am I to fall in love with this kind of boy? I couldn't even called him a man because he doesn't even have the value of a man. "You're just a woman. The man ruled the woman." A corner of my mouth rises upon hearing the short thinking. "You're wrong," I hold the dagger against his neck. He adam's apple went up and down and his fingers were trembling hard even though he tried to hide it. "I am a queen, and a queen ruled the men." Flashing my smile, I slit his throat with a snap. His hands came to hold the blood that kept gushing out from his neck before his body dropped and touched the tiles. A sigh escaped my mouth as I stood from the stance. Now I need to change the tiles because his blood has smeared them. Throwing away the dagger, I walked away from the body. "You don't know me." Your voice strong and sturdy despite the presence of the Dark One just ahead, eyeing you with his large sword gripped in his hand, the hall is silent, its just you and him now. You hold your sword readily in your right hand, you fix your stance as your gaze follows his careful movements. He laughs, though the evil smile only worsens as his rough low voice cracks the silence easily. "Do I not?" He tauntingly asks, sneering. "I was you... three years ago when I still had hope this world would change." The Dark One pauses, seemingly in thought for a minute before he shakes his head. "It doesn't, it wont. So, I adapted to it, hell I mastered it. I bent it to my will. and just look at me now, everyone is ash and bone at my feet. I'm not weak, I'm undefeatable, undeniable. I am what little children fear when their parents tuck them into bed at night. I am the monster in the darkness." He curses, his arms raised in pride of all his accomplishments even though the dead lay at his feet, he's proud. Your gaze doesn't falter, it's endlessly fixed on him. On his black hair, wet with the blood of the innocent. On his silver made armour, clear of scratches from tips of swords but he is no immortal. he is just a man. "You're nothing more than a pompous bully with a stuffed ego, you're weak." You tease, you belittle. "You were beaten down and twisted, you let yourself become something you don't recognise in your own reflection. You betrayed yourself. You lie. You don't have power, you're no monster. I wont let myself become you. A soulless, weak and desperate old man. I wont be you." You retort, calling out from where you stand in the great hall, the wind flying in from the cracks and holes in the old structure blows your red hair from your face, it ripples across your dress. You have nothing to protect you but this blade, nothing but your own belief and own sense of what's right. This man... he has caused so much hurt. This man is not a monster but he is a curse upon this world, one you vowed to destroy. "Than you wont survive this world, you are better off dead, due to your bravery I will grant you such a mercy." He charges forward abruptly with his sword, you brace his attack. The swords clash, sharp metal clatters loudly throughout the hall. He advances, you step back and twirl pushing out your sword again. He dodges, then strikes again but you block it just when its poised for your neck. He smiles devilishly, an evil killer glint in his eyes. You push his sword back and pick up your right leg, you harshly kick him in the chest thrusting him back before bringing your sword down onto him. He blocks but doesn't see your next move, you slice into his left arm and blood quickly soaks the material through as he clasps the new wound you'd caused him. He sneers, you hold your sword up to him and then you're clashing again. The sound of lighting reverberate, swords collide with furious manner. Each trying to deal a killing bow, each advancing and seeking an advantage over the other. Then suddenly- BOOM! Heads turn, rocks crumble. is this the end?

With a thrust your swords meet his, your eyes meet his and with a blew you behead him and fall on the ground. You won , you combated the hardest battles and you won. You killed the evil . You revenged your people . Its the day you are walking to your throne , all the attorney surrounding you. You stroke your throne . Everyone is there but not the people who wanted you to be on this throne . You are the sum of all their sacrifices. You are ready to be the strongest and ready to conquer the whole world with your loyalty and kindness. The era ends making you more powerful. Now its only you and no one else and won't be ever.

An excerpt from a book I'm writing that fits this vibe, I think: *-*-* “I am the daughter of a forgotten king. He now lies on a slab of dirt and stone, without a crown and without our home, because he believed in you-” she snapped back to glare at Julienna in one solid, fluid movement, “- because he made the mistake to believe in all of you. That you would come to our aid when we needed it most as we’d done for you- more times than he lived years!” Her voice rose, almost breaking, “That you would protect his people and keep his children safe, like you promised him that night-” “I kept my promise-” “LIAR!” Elanoriel’s snarl drowned out her voice, her wings snapping in one sharp push to launch her into the air above them, above the throne and towering over Julienna and her knights. “I SAVED you!” The empress’s voice trembled, a slow rage sinking into her words, her composure beginning to crumble as she took a step down to meet Elanoriel’s gaze. “You have no idea what I’ve done to keep you and your brother safe inside that castle, hatchling. You’ve no idea of how cruel the world is outside of your little manor, how quickly and easily it guts hope and kills it inside you until all you’re left with is anger-” “You left me to DIE!” Silver drops began to fall from Elanoriel’s closed fists to the floor, the marble giving way to brilliant sunstar flowers. “I was six years old! I didn’t need saving! I needed to feel safe, and loved, and to be with my father! And you- you-” “And did you not have it all?” Julienna went down another step, close enough to touch the avariel now. “Were you not safe? Her sword covered with blood, her face painted with marks of bravery. She looks at the dead bodies surrounding her. She turns and sees her sister. She smiles at their victory. She puts her arm up in to the air with the sword in her hand and screams, her sister does the same. They both look into the sky, honouring those lost in the war. As she looks back down she sees someone behind her sister. " BEHIND YOU! LILLY BEHIND YOU" she yells simultaneously running towards her sister, her grip tightened like no other on the sword, her skin burning and her heart slowly sinking but beating faster than anything. She puts her hands together accepting defeat. " smart girl, you see dear ,a woman can never be a warrior, a kingdom needs a King not Queen" he smirks with a gold crown on his head " that's where you are wrong your highness" she says softly as she stabs his leg with a small knife , his sword swings on top of her head, he tightens his grip and pushes his sword toward her, he misses. She takes a pin from her hair and pushes it through his neck, she pulls it out and pushes it again. He falls in his knees with his hands on the wound. She picks his sword from thee ground and wipes off the blood with her left hand " You see dear a woman is more than what a man will ever be, a woman is a Queen dear , something you'll never be" she says as her hand swings with the sword in her hand. His head falls onto the ground and the crown falls with it. " My name is Quera,and this is my kingdom, your Highness" she says staring at the dead King's body. She spits as a sign of disgust and walks towards her sister's body

And I will keep that promise until my last breathe" before the enemy could say anything the queen stabs him in the heart peaking through his back. He tried to say something but all that came out was blood. His blood. "see... I've won. This is my throne" the queen says walking out of the room letting the man bleed to death

I looked away as a hand gripped my chin, forcing me to face the woman I had grown to hate so dearly "You can't win" she mumbled, her lips barely caressing mine like so many times before this. But there stood no love and admiration in her eyes anymore, only the cold malice that seemed to chill down my spine with each passing second And yet I didn't freeze, no matter how much I wanted to. I chuckled, watched as her expression turned to confusion "Why are you laughing? I took everything from you! Your family, your friends, your dear grandma *and* your powers!...Even me" Her last words struck my chest and made me want to give into her broken promises, like the fool I had become. It made me want to symphatise with her, chant careless whispers against her ear until she fell asleep into the cold night. Or maybe, even that I still loved her But once I looked back into her cold blue eyes I was driven by malice. She would not get away with it. I will not let her ruin the world, nor my people. And I will have my revenge "Pathetic that you try to win my sympathy" I spat and yanked at the chains at my back, knowing that I couldn't do anything once again. Helpless they would say, I think "You might have me chained here but I promise you, I will get my revenge" The hopeless look in her eyes dissapeared in a second, reflecting the coolness of my own "Pity. I loved to hear you say my name. The love behind them. It was almost too sad to crush it" She paused, looked at my lips for a bare second and smiled, tightly as a snake "Almost" When I felt her hand leave my skin I was left bare against the cold stone. I watched her back retreat trough the door, the locks immediately clicking in place as her retreating footsteps echoed down in the hallway I sighed and leaned by back against the wall. In the darkness I reached for my dagger, hidden beneath the multilayered dress and shook my head "This time will be your downfall Alexia. Heavy breaths and heavy stares were exchanged. She was covered in blood and he was decked full of royal garments but she felt more glorious then the man sitted on the throne. "Thank you for taking of my crown and my kingdom. Do take my mercy as your reward. You are dismissed.", the blade nicked his neck. The red of his blood was tempting but a fast death is not an option. Heavy smell of flesh burning and screams of soldiers resounded. Heavy steps of metals and clashing of swords invigorated the tension. "It's either you return my power to its rightful owner or let your head roll. It would be my pleasure.", voice steady and strong. A bloodied queen. Cloaked in madness and justice. The Queen. A small muttering of defiance and a throne in red and a head rolled. She warned him, he didn't listen. She has no time for fools who doesn't know their place. She sat upon the throne while wearing the crown, a vision full of red. The power in itself. She wasn't wimsical and naive anymore, that girl died when everything crumbled for her and out came a woman-a lady-who seeks power to rule. "You either kneel before me and devote yourself to my rule or shower my throne in more red."
