@benaube59463 ай бұрын
As a Spurs fan, please please PLEASE I do not want Trae Young. It would be the right fit for Trae and that’s it. The Spurs notoriously get cooked by guards. Vic is awesome on defense but he can’t protect the rim and the perimeter, so going after one of the worst perimeter defenders would only make that problem worse. Also, the Spurs don’t necessarily need someone who leads the league in assists; they just need someone who can reliably set up Vic and make the smart pass. Just that much will be enough to take the next step in terms of amplifying Vic’s impact. Trae can get you 10 assists sure, but he’s also going to single-handedly lose games because of his shooting woes. He’s going to let every guard he matches up against score 30. I would rather give Atlanta all their picks to get DeJounte back than get Trae Young for half the cost.

I agree on Trae. Vic is already a good enough playmaker to get the ball to almost anyone he wants to. He turns the ball over a lot now, but I think as he gets better, those turnovers will decrease. Better to go for a PG who is also a good defender.

@bytheriverinpeace23013 ай бұрын
I've been saying it for years now, the nba is trending towards making shorter guards obsolete unless that guard is hyper athletic and can shoot. The taller guards/point forwards make getting a 6 ft pg kinda dumb especially with offenses now mismatch hunting all the time. Having anyone 6 ft 2 and under on the court makes your team a defensive liability against the smarter, taller teams. The knicks might make some noise this playoffs but watch for teams attacking brunson defensively being the reason they get stopped.

12:20 To cut the Sixers some slack, I've watched practically every single Heat game this season and this wasn't just our typical zone. "The Blob" as it was referred to on the broadcast was some of the best defense I've seen my Heat play this year. I think Spo legitimately saves these schemes for the postseason to catch teams off guard. There's no way in hell Nick Nurse wouldn't have had those boys practicing against it if he knew it was coming. The fact they were able to figure it out at all is a testament to how good he and his staff are. Oh also Duncan most likely didn't get minutes because he's been dealing with a back issue that's had him out the last handful of games. Haywood Highsmith has been an absolute sniper lately so I'm guessing Spo just felt confident enough to trust him in that role. Agreed though, I wish Dunc got minutes.

He was much more the facilitator albeit a better one than the one we saw in the play-in. The reason Dejounte was the only player who looked good for atlanta was because going into the contest, he was the only one that was able to actually get consistent minutes coming in as Quin Snyder was playing him on a minutes restriction every night. How the FUCK is he supposed to go into a play-in game with any kind of rhythm like that. Maybe that’s an excuse because Coby White went off despite not being in a rhythm ever in his life. But saying the Hawks have to trade trae is just prison of the moment and it’s a casual ass take. Do better.

Top player ? Outside of good playmaking with lots of turnovers ..... -10 defense 0 rebounds Average% in efficiency For god's sake, even Doncic is shooting better from 3 this season

Did tou watch the game Bam had two fouls immediately off Embiid flops. And Duncan had been horrible since he came back from a back injury

Feel like the hawks are just gonna keep trae around longer than they should so they won’t have to admit they made a mistake in trading away luka on draft night.

Yeah Bam had 2 early fouls which limited his first half mins. Idk why Duncan didn’t play. TYLER HERRO TAKING 27 SHOTS while Bam took 9 SHOTS 😐😐

bam only played 30 minutes because in the first 4 minutes he had 2 fouls and was 0/4 i think spo was tryna give him a breather to rethink the game an then k love was playing phenomenal defense so he didnt really come back till the 3rd

Trae Young is not the best player on a winning basketball team. He could be an elite second option to great interior scoring forward or center, but I really think he's not efficient or consistent enough to be the clear leader on a contender

he has yet to play a season with another player who made the all star game also with him but keep it up bro
