A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones 85th Birthday in The O2 Arena in London. It is a rehearsal with the London Synphonic Orchestra before the concert. Louis (Armstrong), The Duke (Ellington), Billie (Holiday), Ella (Fitzgerald), all the Greats would be proud of her. As Quincy Jones has said :" The greatest talent since Michael Jackson".

Went to this concert at the 02 in London. Angelina Jordan wasn't on the program, so it was a big surprise to see Quincy Jones introduce her and have her open the show. The entire crowd were in shock. I had never heard of her before. Covid stopped her concerts, but I went to Norway to see her, when she did her first concert tour after the pandemic - quite unbelievably good. Saw her last year again in Portsmouth, at a sell out concert. Just hoping she will come somewhere in Europe again in the summer.

Fly Me To The Moon Angelina Jordan opened for Quincy Jones in the O2 Arena in London. Angelina at age 12, opens the show for Quincy Jones on his 85th birthday using the same arrangement that Q did for Frank Sinatra. On 27 June 2018, Jordan at the age of 12 performed "Fly Me to the Moon" and opened for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London, as part of his 85th birthday celebration. (This video was the rehearsal, and is the best for that monumental occasion, her on stage performance was never recorded properly although we have heard it was spectacular.). ©

Yes Evilcorkin, the audio is from the Live concert & replaces the poor quality cellphone audio from the original video. There are no good videos from the actual concert, since it was a radio broadcast.

This is a video of a rehearsal for her performance at Quincy Jones’s birthday celebration in London in 2018. She was only 12. Quincy Jones personally invited her to perform. He said that she was the most talented young singer he had met since Michael Jackson.

You're correct in a way. This recording is the live performance Angelina Jordan gave us to open the Quincy Jones 85th birthday celebration held at the huge O2 Arena in London. Quincy specifically requested Angelina open the concert singing his Frank Sinatra arrangement of Fly My to the Moon. Quincy was Frank's band leader for many years. The live recording was used on Grandma Mery's cell phone recording. There is a poor video of the concert. There's a great back stage video after the concert of Quincy and Angelina. She sings a song acapella for him.

The audio in this is actually the official live recording from the concert. The footage synced to it is by her Grandmother at a rehearsal session earlier in the day. That full video is also up on KZfaq, but has all of the room noise and extraneous sounds you would expect in that setting.

The original rehearsal video was shot on a cell phone and the audio was absolute crap, so many thanks to the fan for fixing this great rehearsal video. Cheers. 🥰🥰

What most don’t know is that the audience didn’t know she was opening the show singing a song, and the arrangement, Quincy Jones arranged for Frank Sinatra that he performed with the Count Basie Orchestra. Yeah, the music industry knew of Angelina from the start when she was on Norway’s Got Talent!

The importance of a great sound engineer. (This statement also goes for the performance of the Fly Me To The Moon.) After listening to the complete rehearsal for AJ's rendition of Unchained Melody, and then the finished product, you have an idea of what a good sound engineer can do for the artist. The final product of this recording is a testament to the skill of the sound engineer, who balanced the vocals and the orchestra perfectly. In the rehearsal, there were moments when the orchestra overpowered Angelina Jordan's voice, but that issue was resolved, and the result is a masterpiece, a true work of ART. ©

The rehearsal video had no usable audio on it, given that it was recorded from the back of the band and fairly elevated. If you want to hear the mixed version at an even higher quality, there's a link to it in the description.

This is edited the soundtrack is the actual performance dubbed over this rehearsal because there was no official video of her performance.

Well, you're right . Grandma Mery's cellphone was not capable of doing justice to their music and Angelina's faint voice during the rehearsal. And, the real concert was not recorded, or not released with video. Some enterprising person recorded Quincy Jones' Birthday party off his FM radio and mated it to the video you see here. It was a very big honor, being invited to open for Quincy at the O2 area when she was 12 years old. The arrangement he specified was for the one he did for Frank Sinatra many many years before. And, Angelina did it perfectly with her lovely voice.

Certainly! **Frank Sinatra** asked **Quincy Jones** to arrange this version of "Fly Me To The Moon" for him. This arrangement was originally written for the **1964 Sinatra/Basie studio collaboration** titled **"It Might As Well Be Swing."** Quincy Jones' arrangement has been used in various performances, including during the **1965 Sinatra/Basie summer tour** and the famous **1966 "Live at the Sands"** concert. The vocal key for this arrangement is **C**

Not many reactors realize that this is not the raw rehearsal audio, but you did. It is in fact the audio from the concert itself. There was no official video from the concert, just cell phone recordings, so the audio was paired with the rehearsal video.

The prodigal returneth, if only momentarily, to the fold. You used to be one of my favorite Angelina reactors. You've missed a buttload of her productions, including her 6 originals on her EP. Lots more besides. Think maybe you'll get to them eventually? Or was this more like a drive-by?

'The on set room recording of this practice , Angelina's voice was way to low and not as dominate as is the recording used here. Probably done on a cell phone in the room by her Grandmother, She was just as good but can hardly be heard over the orchestra here
