But why did the writers even put that in? To what end? Did they want to set up the kind of story and character beats they couldn’t put on a TV-PG show?

@@claytonandres1194 I assume they put it in because they (or at least one writer) really wanted to put that actress in that outfit.

@@theoneandonlymichaelmccormick The RPG vampire: the masquerade has some lore/rules like that. Sufficient moral/spiritual enlightenment can allow you to surpass the need for blood, and allow you to go out in sunlight unharmed.

Skyrim did something weird with vampires in that game. The more blood they drank, the more "human" they are. Skyrim vampires only start getting powers/looking like a vampire when they get hungry.

It's the easiest way to tell he's a British officer, they are all required to have a shitty little drawn on stasche, that's why Lacoix looks like a Nazi officer despite the olive drab.

I think it might have been a joke because the seasons have so many episodes! But here's hoping he does keep going to season 3.

I think they said they're only doing this for January. So they're only doing season one. And maybe finding out in a couple of years means they'll do season two January and season three the year after? But damn, I need to know now- I think I might have to watch this ridiculous show myself!

LeCroix really nails the "Maybe I'm going to finish drinking this glass, or maybe I'm going to throw it in your face" look.

It's not covered until 3rd season (I think) and it's a spoiler so I don't want to give too man details, but there is an in universe reason why Nick and LeCroix would want to stay the heck away from the Nazis.

I mean, they don't want to slow down the story, they only have like 20-40ish minutes usually cause commercials. Sometimes you just acquire a kid for a while

@@bookshelfhoney good points, and it does make for some interesting scenes. Still, at least a "this is only for the day/night until a proper foster care placement has been found" kind of line would not detract too much from a scene. That way other people in real-life similar situations don't get the idea that it's okay to just take a child into care without parents or proper authorities knowing where the kid is.

It's a January tradition here in Canada to revisit the tv shows of our youth.
