This is the first top 1 since Artificial ascent where I genuinely love the decoration. This level is extremely creative by slowly transitioning from early morning to sunset and I LOVE it ❤ The song is also really catchy too, love it as well

This level is pretty much zodiac 2.0. Nothing groundbreaking, but a non hell themed top 1. I think this level will age really well. I love longer top extremes, since they have actual gameplay instead of it just basically being a 30 second challenge level.

I love this level so much if I was good enough I would play it. The design of the level is incredible and so is the song. The fact it's not hell themed makes it unique and way better. Deserved Top 1. 🌊🏖️

When I use to look at old extremes and top 1s, somewhere in my mind, I thought, “this looks easy” and “I could do this” even if that wasn’t true. This is the first extreme demon where the gameplay looks impossible to me. This is just insane and shows how much people can improve after a length of time. I’ve been following the gd community on and off for 7 years and it’s crazy the way there’s no skill ceiling.

This level is the perfect embodiment of what a top 1 should be like in Geometry Dash. Tidal Wave contains no visual bugs unlike, Phobos, and actually has a unique theme because it's not hell themed (Every other top 1 besides Zodiac). I am very happy that Tidal Wave is able to represent the true difficulty of this game, it's a wonderful level and the greatest extreme of all time. Tidal Wave starts with a 4x speed predrop, which is pretty rare, but it's super cool. There are multiples wave parts during the predrop such as 5%. This 5% wave is the greatest wave in a predrop of all time. It has incredible music sync in this 5% wave which make sit even more satisfying to pull off. The level goes slow and brightens up a bit at 9%, where we can see these beautiful waterfalls all around and difficult cube timings. The block designs have the perfect amount of detail in them, with small glow spikes and circles in them. An interesting detail here that I noticed was that the spikes in the background pulse to the music, which is an awesome touch and I absolutely love it. After this section, a teleport portal transfers the player to 4x speed mini cube gameplay, that will go into straight fly with orbs making the straight fly extra challenging for the player. After this, it goes into a very fun to play UFO part, with fun gameplay. It goes into a slow cube in preparation for the first *wave* section. When the title card shows up, I truly understood what Onilink meant by double themed. The movements at 23% and so on until the end of this long wave section is just so awesome.However, after this section, it changes to a slow cube at 39%. It has even more difficult timings, but they are made even harder by their low visibility due to the black glow on the screen covering where things are. The slow wave in this part has awesome movements and nice colors on the slopes. It suddenly transitions into a bright section where even the sun is out. The block design changed colors and the background now has a really cool ocean with animated effects on it adding to the livelihood of the part in general. This section has really hard UFO timings, like the Golden second click. This all goes into a 4x speed mini cube dual which is pretty simple once you learn it, and is a nice break from the harder parts of the level. But after this comes a new wave section. This wave section is very intricate and requires difficult, precise timings, while changing gravities and wave sizes at 2x speed. This goes into a part where you have to slide as the wave on the ground to go above the spikes. This was a very interesting idea and could've been played with more interesting D blocks usage, but the song goes into the second drop so this idea had to be abandoned. This drop is like the first one but is outside. I like the mini wave portal stuff, it's just really satisfying to watch. The segment after will remain to a similar gameplay style for a while. This segment utilizes the flow gameplay and pushes it to its maximum potential. Then, there is the last wave, which is just like the previous wave-focused sections. It goes into the sunset part which is my favorite, part, using flow gameplay to its advantage every chance it can, the gameplay is quite intuitive and interactive which makes it even more fun. An awesome finale for the best top 1 since Demon Park and a hugely respectable solo level. Onilink did a great job on this and considering player experience with the gameplay.

Probably one of my favorite themed extreme demons I’ve seen, it feels creative in both gameplay and decor and while looking extremely difficult, still looks like fun gameplay. I definitely don’t have the skills to beat this level but it’s still probably the best top ten extreme demon to come out in while

This is the type of level I expect from Geometry Dash that combines great decoration with insane gameplay… all the hell themed levels are cool, but it’s not as satisfying when you can’t see half the level because of the dark and faded tones of everything. I will NEVER beat this level, but the charm it has to look possible is a great motivator to get better
