In 1998, Robert Glover OBE, his wife, Elizabeth, and their six children moved to Shanghai and founded @careforchildren: a charity dedicated to placing vulnerable children and orphans into loving local families. The impact of their work has been profound, as documented in the 2020 film “Children of Shanghai,” which follows the lives of five of the first children placed in foster care and how their futures were transformed. Today, Robert serves as an advisor at conferences, events, and consortiums worldwide, sharing his expertise and insights on child welfare and family placement.
