If it's because of huening's usage of -ssi honorific towards his members that makes people judge huening to not seem close to his members, huening is the youngest i think it makes sense that he just wants to be careful with his manners especially on camera, not at all an indication that huening isn't close with his members

I saw on vlive soobin yeonjun craft in run away era, fans asked yeonjun "who is the member who wants to be his real brother" and yeonjun said that taehyun, soobin and beomgyu are like friends. And yeonjun wants heuningkai to be his lil brother Sorry me if my English is weird :(

I love Yeonjun & Hueningkai voices together, most of the songs when they sing one after the other, it’s always my favorite part of the song so a duet with this 2 will be everything for me 😍 For example: the rap part second verse in “Blue Orangeade”, the beginning and 2nd verse of “New Rules”, the rap part in “Run Away”, the first verse of “Roller Coaster”, when they sing the chorus of “Poppin’ Star” together, the bridge in “Magic Island”, the bridge and final chorus of “20 cm”, the rap part in “Way Home”.... everytime this 2 sing a verse together, it’s always my favorite part of the whole song 😅

I think it's because how his mom treat him. Just like he said, when he was late her mom called him Choi Yeonjun not his nickname or with endearment. That's why Yeonjun dislike it if someone he consider close to him called him Choi Yeonjun. Most artists doesn't mind if their members called them with sshi, bc they're on broadcast so it's a formal setting.

"ssi" is a pretty formal way of calling someone in Korea. it's an honorific used to represent politeness, sort of like calling someone you just met "Mr. So and so". The reason Yeonjun gets so upset is because it's quite a distant and formal honorific to use, especially when Kai and Yeonjun have been training together for a while and are in a group together. For example, as Yeonjun said, "hyung" is really what Kai should be calling Yeonjun, as it is much more informal and actually a term of affection- you're only supposed to use it with an older boy (if you are male) if you are pretty close to them. It's like calling them "bro" or "brother". You wouldn't walk up to someone on the street and just call them "bro", that'd be impolite and rude, hence the "ssi", or "mr/ms". Also, it makes it funnier because Yeonjun would much rather be called "Noona" (older sister) than "ssi", even though (at least as far as we know) he doesn't identify as female or use female pronouns. It's gorgeous, though, how he smiles whenever Kai calls him that though. There's no such thing as gender, it's just Yeonjun. And you're good!

That clip with Yeonjun questioning Soobin is hilarious LOL Yeonjun is 100% jealous, and the questions were getting more and more pointed: 1. Does Hueningkai call you -ssi? 2. Often? 3. Or only sometimes? And Yeonjun being salty AF when Soobin said "sometimes". He even had to look away, and take a swig of his drink, to hide his disappointment LMAO
