I agree. We love Klay and what he’s done but this is a situation in which we need to move on and get better if we want an actual shot to win again. Unfortunately, keeping Klay will stifle that. Even if they get a big fish they should let Klay go and replace him with 2 very good vet scorers or shooters.

I don't believe that it's about pride!!! Klay Thompson has given this organization his heart and soul. And he was broken and he has healed his body, mind, and soul. So he deserves this to continue to play and he's only going to get better. And if they trade him I hope he win another championship LOL 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️🤷

When you are a struggling team nobody wants to be there and everybody wants a change of scenery including Steph but that's normal in life when things go left.Thats why the phrase grass isn't always greener on thr other side makes sense. GS problem ain't just Klay it's the whole team from coaching to the players. They need to get bigger, a little more athletic and they need another shooter that can defend. Get all of that done, then we can talk.

WOW! Kerr asked Klay to play the 3/4 position at the beginning of the season, GSW offered 2 years, $48M extension; $43.2M to $24M per year, 44% drop in value, hard pill to swallow; begs the question: given the team's financial objectives, does it make sense at this point in Klay's career?

One could argue that any defense is better then Klay on defense at this point. If Paul wants 4/5 years then it's not even going to be plausible anyway

@@nacem360 Klays defense not the issue with the Warriors. Player taking vacations mid season that's the warriors problem. Bench full of pros can hide a lot problems. Rookies and younger players not so much. They should have fixed the problem.

@@warrensteele4395 Klay was literally one of the problems. Actually none of the young guys were the problem last season. It was the high paid vets who were bad, mid, unavailable, or all of the above most nights. Only vet who didn't have a hand in tanking the season was Steph.

Look I love the guy. But he has an ego. He was offered a deal. He declined and decided to BET on himself. A BET. A GAMBLE, and he lost. So now the FO is saying, based on the past 2 seasons, go out there and find a deal. Ask the market what you are worth since you think what we offered you isn't good enough, and maybe well match. We can't pay this tax bill for a team that can't make the playoffs. His true shooting in his last 4 elimination games: 0%, 21.%, 38.8%, 35.5% He averaged a TS of 55% against the top 16 teams.

It looks like the Golden State Warriors are about to get a lesson on thinking unintelligently when it comes to Klay Thompson. The most dumbest thing they have done so far. Putting a Golden Goose on the Free Agency block. There is no way possible the Golden State Warriors can match the coming offers for Klay Thompson. You super spoil forgetting what the true game is about. Yes you all are about to get the memo next season. Also, I bet any of you any time. Klay Thompson will get his 5th Championship ring before Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Question: What happened to these players when they were traded for being "washed up"? Tom Brady, John Elway, Patton Manning! GTFOH Klay Thompson is not of the same Championship stock.
