I found a really cool mystery item! Its some sort of carrying case or storage canister. I know its old because of the gold tone closure clips and the way the handle is attached. My guess is it held a hairdryer or hair rollers.... thrift with me and drop me a comment to tell me what you think.....
Hello Everyone! Its Tiffany with Thrifting Vegas. I shop at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and discount stores for items I can resell for a profit on online platforms like eBay, Poshmark and Offer-Up.
Its late on a Saturday afternoon, prime restocking time at my favorite Goodwill. I have a couple of hours to shop before I pick up pizza for a family night at home, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can find some treasures to fill my cart. The spring weather is lovely, clear blue skies and in the low 80's. The trip started out well with a Haeger pig which turned out to be a modern piece, very heavy and not in high demand so he went back onto the shelf. Thrift with me and learn what to bolo and what to leave on the shelf and why. I found a gorgeous siwrled orange Nemadji pottery jug, an Anchor Hocking Star of David butter dish, a pair of Pier 1 Imports brass sconce candle holders, a pottery cheese dome and base, an Ocampo framed skull print, and a California Pottery ash tray!! I agree with CraftyDebi. The spike goes into the bottom of a head (probably Styrofoam) to stabilize it. Then the wig is on top of that. Perfect case for protecting it at home or while travelling. Also to take the wig for cleaning and styling services. A great vintage find! I suspect 1960's.😉

That's what I was thinking too when I seen it I'm going to be 67 this year but it seems to be that maybe your styrofoam head was in there with a wig on it that's what I'm thinking

Per the vinyl wig case, we used to clean them with cloth dampened with windex. A couple times a year, apply Vaseline with a piece of well washed flannel and buff well with an often washed cotton sock. We did this on our 60s patten leather Mary Jane shoes and in the 60s our Go-Go boots lol. Love listening to you - your enjoyment of the "hunt" and when you find a great item is just so much fun!

My Mom had that exact case and it was for her wig. I do love the boxes you got for your closet, those are nice. Bear is so cute. He cracks me up. Once he gets wound up he really gets going. It’s been fun watching him grow.

That black case reminds me of a hair dryer my mom used to have in the 60s it would have a small air blowing Device the air went through the hose pretty long hose, that went directly to a cap that went on your head. That’s when mom wore curlers on her head. You can tell how loved BEAR is. 💚🦋✌🏼

I had a case like the black one. It was given to me by an uncle! (Genuine Ostrich leather). It had a hair dryer inside. Machine in the bottom and the hose and the hood in the top!! Wish I’d saved the case now.. lol

The vintage box with stim is for a maniquin head with ready to wear wig. Usually these were used for traveling hairdressers.

I think the black round box is for travel with a styrofoam head with wig on it. The single serve yellow teapot with the metal lid I think is by beehive. Flip About $20 plus shipping.

I think the case is for a wig. The styrofoam head would go there with the wig attached to it! I loved the video with Bear! He was so animated in it. At first it looked like he was looking around for dogs to play with and looked disappointed none there. But then he made his own fun!!! He is beautiful and really growing! I liked the items you picked up at Goodwill also! I especially liked the cheese dome. Gorgeous glaze!! 😊💕💕

RP Hayes is correct, it is definitely a wig box. You see the post inside the box that's where the mannequin head sits, it's usually a styrofoam head with no features painted on it so that's definitely what it is. Have a good day

I was so glad your video showed up as a recommended video. You have such a relaxing voice, which I can use right now. I’m 68, and used to go to Goodwill all the time. I’ve seen some things you’ve come across that I’d really like. I love baskets. Sadly, in 2012 I was diagnosed with deterioration of my spine, and osteoarthritis. I can’t stand or walk very long, so I’m not able to go much. Look forward to your future videos.

I believe your vintage case was for head and wig set. That way they were secure and easy to travel with. My grandma had something similar for her wigs.

The tall round carry case was used for a model head and wig. The cannisters with the yellowed lids are Pyrex to go with the Corning Spice of Life. They sell really well, even yellowed.

I believe your vintage case is in fact used to transport a Bust with a Wig or Hat upon it. Certainly could be completely wrong. Seems like something I recall my Grandmother having.

I agree with the others. It probably holds a head that a wig goes on to. My only other thought would be a vintage hair dryer case for a Presto canister hair dryer. It would be round with a big shower cap like hood and a long hose.

Those green and yellow Ashtrays...omg did they bring back memories. I could smell the wet ashes. My mom used to smoke as did much of my family back in the 70s and early 80s. I used to have to clean those Ashtrays as part of the weekly cleaning and dusting routine. I don't know how many times I would place them in the sink and spray them with windex and leave them to soak while I continued to dust and sweep, then place them back in their places clean and shiny again. I could instantly smell them when I saw them...mom quit smoking years ago thankfully. But those definitely struck a strong memory cord for me.

Love your channel! I’m learning so much from you. On a side note, I strongly suggest you require your lovely German Shepherd puppy to walk at your side-“heel.” When dogs lead their owners it puts them in a superior position in their doggy minds. This will be a problem when they are no longer puppies and weigh 75 + pounds!

Yes, the black case with Presto locks is a wig case. Takes a styrofoam head. The star on the butter dish does not look like a Star of David. Do you ever buy a ceramic piece that is chipped in a minor fashion and fix it for your own use? Bear, as always is very cute. Love the way in rolling in grass! 💖🌹💍💎
