Rapping ain’t just about words, it’s about delivery, sound, etc silk couldn’t rap for shit. He even tried to come back out 5years ago and failed horribly because he sounded the exact same.

People don’t realize his style of rapping is being used right now bossman DLow is using the same style just different voice but ask yourself what is Bossman dlow doing because he not rapping on beat he talking to you on the beat same thing Silk the shocker been doing for years and his music style fits just him and he got platinum hits and albums

I read the title and yes indeed Silkk The Shocker could rap. I never felt like he was offbeat. I felt like he was on beat, but was just ahead of his time, a fast rapper, and was rapping to the second rhythm in the beat. That's what set him apart in my opinion. His lyrics were really strong. I absolutely hate when people compare him to Blueface, because he raps offbeat.

1:22-2:01 Fuk'n ace. That's exactly what I've been telling people for the longest when they compare Silkk to a garbage azz rapper like Blueface. Silkk what superhead of his time, and like I said he was never offbeat. The rhythm of the beat that people usually a rap to is not the pocket he was in, he was rapping to the second rhythm. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I'm not a rapper, but I'm explaining it the best way I know how from being a fan of Silkk the Shocker ever since I was a little girl. plus going back and listening to him again when people started comparing him to that other guy. Exactly Tip!! He had his own style. He was lyrical, and hard as fuk!!
