Honestly, this song not only captured the life that itachi lived, but also managed to portray his grudges perfectly. Lines like "i don't hate the book but the way that it's written" and "all of my life is a means to an end", while being absolute bars, also capture itachi's feelings while also reminding us that he will ignore them if necessary. There are many other parts of this song that illustrate his life well, but listing those would take a long while, and i'd rather play the song on repeat. Also, johnald was an amazing choice for this, but then again, when is he not? He is your man for emotional tracks.

I come back to this song from time to time and up until recently it has become one of my favourite tracks. Somehow I always see my partner in Itachi's shoes singing the chorus to me and it just makes my heart break.
