I love that this drama is different from the typical KDramas. The girl is more expressive, she knows what she wants and stops at nothing to get it. Also, the guy doesn't MAGICALLY get rich and cocky all of a sudden. He spent 10 years in the process, working very hard for it. And no one's life is revolving around love or just getting a partner and being happy. It's teaching about fulfilling your goals then you'll be happy with anything Amazing drama!

I would never understand how some people think they have no chemistry. Yiseo’s way of loving is the most selfless love. She loves him for him, not because she wants to be loved back. She didn’t resent him when he said he never sees her as a woman and stayed by his side as a loyal friend and partner. She does exactly what she says, that “love is about giving, not receiving”.

Its absolutely crazy how good Kim Dami's acting is. I hardly recognised her in Our beloved Summer despite watching Itaewon class. She portrays her character so convincingly and I know that's the point of acting, but she does it really well.

This drama is so charming because the protagonists do not come from some filthy rich background. Instead they work their butts off for success despite the obstacles. (Not to mention it questions what is “success”) It also shows that success is made with the trust among people. Love it all.

It really hit me in the feels when Yiseo showed So Ah how the way she loved Saeroyi was different. Yiseo would do anything possible to help Saeroyi achieve his dream. So Ah would only be with him if or after he made his achievement. So Ah watch him rise to be a great man. Yiseo was by his side through that grind to the top. This story is so different from your typical k-drama formula bc it was diverse enough to talk about other hush subjects like racism and stigma of being transgender. The ending was perfect Saeroyi finally found peace, happiness and freedom🥰

Most people just want to be in the result and not in the process, and it's in the process where you realize who deserves to be in the result (saeroyi's success). Yiseo really deserved the endgame. PERIODT.

The show had many great moments between these two, but When she got that voice recording for him, i can’t describe the feeling. The other girl Soo-ah never tried. Never did anything for him and he wasted time liking her. And here go Yi-seo from the beginning giving her all and everything for this man! Omg I just loved her character. So happy with how it ended.

i did rewatch IC, and when saeroyi said he would be really destroyed if yiseo is gone, i get it, he really meant it. the moment he woke up after his car accident, that was the point he showed his vulnerable side again since his father died. he was reminded by the pain he needs to go through when his dad left him. imagining living life without her, that would be painful as hell. living without sooah? he’s been fine through the years, tho he always told her he likes her at times. yiseo been with him through the years build danbam through ups and downs, despite being sociopath who wants to win everything she patiently stayed with him, being hardworking, achieve her success but not the love.

Yiseo's character is refreshing. That's why this drama is even better becauase of that.

Their soundtrack is also something that makes it hard for me to let go of this series. Every song is so beautiful. The character of Yi Seo is also very refreshing! I hope there would be more female characters like that, but most importantly Kim Dami did a magnificent job in portraying a sociopath brat. In the end, she still won our hearts.

I watched Itaewon class right after watching Our Beloved Summer. The major change in Kim Dami's character is insane. So versatile.

I've never seen any girl who's so devoted and inlove to his man, only Yi-Seo. That's why I sooo loved this drams because she remained to be with her man thru thick & thin. I even like the scene when she informed Soo-ah that unlike her, she'll do everything to make Saeroyi happy, successful & rich in the end.

Dami is beautiful in her own way, she's so cute like a cat. She and Seojun really match, wishing they were dating!!💑

I was getting over Itaewon Class after watching the damn show two times in a row and now THIS. It's just too good. All other kdramas lack in comparison!!

I just finished watching it and I already feel empty. The story, the directing, the acting, the places where it was filmed, the life lessons dialogues. Everything was perfect. Will be watching it again and again and again.

I hated when she went around throwing 'oh, he loves me, he will keep loving me, you can't change him blah blah' in yi seo's face. Honey, no. He ain't going to wait for you. You were never with him when he went thru the toughest of times but yi seo was. Now, let's talk about yi seo, A POWERFUL FEMALE CHARACTER THAT EVEN MANAGED TO STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT FROM THE MAIN MALE LEAD SOMETIMES. KIM DAMI IS FABULOUS. Yi seo's motto was 'DESTROY WHOEVER HURTS MY MAN' she literally made seo royi the main focus of her world. She is a sociopath with an IQ of 166. She ain't normal. Her brain works differently. But she bet her life on royi. Stood by him no matter what happend. She didn't fight FOR HIM, SHE FOUGHT *TOGETHER WITH HIM* YI SEO WAS THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND DANBAM. SHE WAS THE ONE BC OF WHOM ROYI WAS ABLE TO TAKE HIS REVENGE. SHE LITERALLY BUILT DANBAM FROM NOTHING INTO A CORPORATION, ITAEWON CLASS THAT GAVE TOUGH TIME TO JANGGA CO. BC SHE WANTED HIM TO BE HAPPY AND BE FREE OF THIS BURDEN... this is the difference b/w both women, one took his love forgranted and did everything for herself and the other destroyed everyone who stood against him. Royi brought out the best in her. He made yi seo human and yi seo taught him what real love is. She is one of the main reasons why he was successful. Anyone who supports oh so's character over yi seo's, y'all see this door? 🚪. See yourself out before I drag you out myself. *YI SEO'S CHARACTER WAS, IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE SUPERIOR TO OH SO'S CHARACTER. PERIODT*

My husband and I have just finished watching IC with our 7 year old son. This is our 2nd time watching the drama. After the first watch, I felt so restless that I decided when it becomes available on Netflix where I live I would have to rewatch it. And so this time we decided to watch it with our son because it just seems appropriate with many life lessons that even a 7 year old can get a grasp of. So for every episode, my husband had been so patiently rewatched every single scene with our son and very often had to pause many scenes to explain in details and give examples similar to our daily life so that our son can understand the context and situation concerned. I must say my husband has been very patient and believed that IC is really giving off valuable lessons alongside the fun laughs. I hope that we will be able to refer back to Saeroyi and Yiseo and the whole of the IC team when there comes the times that we need to teach him something! And kudo to Park Seo Joon and Kim Da Mi and the whole cast and crew to an amazing project and performance. I ship Saero Yiseo and also Seojoon and Dami! Finally thank you Swoon for providing all the favourite moments of our die hard couple!

Yi Seo has always been there for Saeroyi. Through ups and downs, through thick and thin. There was never a time she didn't support him. SHE WAS THERE. She loved everything about him, accepted his past, and made him her priority. I could not understand why some people hate her for Saeroyi. Anyways, so glad team SaeroYiseo won. miss this drama!

This drama has a special place in my heart. Unlike every other kdrama, there are barely any kissing scene. Yet i could feel the emotions. I cried when Dami cried. This drama proved that you dont need romance to show off love.

Before I hated how the main female lead look thinking to myself she doesn't look good at all, then I watch Itaewon class only to be so enchanted by her that I couldn't just look but stare at how good she was, her emotions, how she delivered her lines and her overall portrayal of sociopathic Jo yi seo. I was ready for her to go full crazy bcoz of love and I'd still be on her side.

I binged watched this on Netflix. I was afraid they would go with the 'first love always wins' trope but I am so glad the story went with the much deeper connection between Saeroyi and YiSeo. It's not that I dislike SoAh but besides the crush, I don't really see how their really spend time together more than friends that once in a while met. Even Saeroyi co workers where much more involved in his life that SoAh. To me, it's not only SoAh lacking of commitment for Saeroyi but also the kind of commitment Saeroyi had towards SoAh. I fell his feelings for SoAh were similar to his feelings of revenge and his goal: he just didn't know anything else in his life and on top of it, once she defined the milestone (be rich, be powerful and then I will be with you) then it becomes even more of a blind goal. ... until YiSeo showed up. SoAh to me is a bit of tragic character because I don't think she could have been happier either way. She didn't have what it took to be by Saeroyi's side when he was at his lowest and things looks impossible. She would have resented and gave up, they would never have made it as a couple. YiSeo words were true: SoAh love was conditional and passive, SoAh wanted Saeroyi rich and free of hassles so she wouldn't have to sacrifice anything for him. The very beginning of their story has SoAh saying that she could never be like Saeroyi, her goal was to win too but her way was the way of 'be glad for what you have and know your place'. SoHa also clearly took Saeroyi feelings for granted as the countless times she brushed YiSeo's assertion that Saeroyi could fall for her... She calculated that she could take all the time she needed and Saeroyi would still like her. The whistleblower plot as far as I know it's only on the show and not on the original webtoon. I believe it's a tentative to give some honorable purpose to SoAh choice but even that falls flat because it means SoHa sat on evidence for years and could have brought Janga Co down much earlier. She only act when there isn't much to lose.... she has her nest egg to have a restaurant so it's not like she is sacrificing her professional life.... the company is already on the verge of bankruptcy so abandoning the boat is what every employee is doing it... the chairman is at the end of his life and power so he couldn't really get back at her and through all the things she knew he had done to Saeoroyi, the drop in the bucket is actually her pride being hurt when the chairman calls her off on the reason why she stayed .... she hated him but she too was yet just another person who choose servitude to have what they wanted. It's not that SoAh was a bad person, YiSeo also was not easy to like and all too selfish but bottom line SoAh didn't believe in Saeroyi and most of all, Saeroyi was one of a kind and he fell in love truly when he met his match. SoAh was not a match for him. The best point is also that both YiSeo and Saeroyi became better because of each other's influence. Throughout the story, SoAh and Saeroyi didn't really change for the other.

She worked really hard for her love. She did everything, she really loved him.

I believe Park Seo Joon is the only actor that can pull off any role provided to him with complete perfection !! It's 2021 and I miss Itaewon Class so hard !! Eagerly waiting for Kim Dami's new show !!

My personal opinion; Yi Seo & Soo Ah, in general, are pretty similar in a certain sense where they are both independent women who have strong opinions in the things they believe in and both cares for a man who they both do not understand. Soo Ah supports Saeroyi in her way, through patiently waiting for him to complete his promise without interfering or burdening him with her own worries about him. (Clearly seen when she finally breaks down in ep 10/1) Yi Seo supports Saeroyi in her way that she actively fights for Saeroyi to the point of overworking herself (Let's be honest, we all know that the planner always have the lion's share of work done before the plan is executed) There is nothing wrong with either method tbh, since it aligns with how they were brought up; Soo Ah, being abandoned & unsure of how to fight for others & Yi Seo, raised by a single mother who taught her to be what she was meant to be. We all know that Saeroyi cares a lot for the both of them even before that time-skip (Soo-Ah, more vocally & Yi-Seo, through their interactions) & he never does more than that since he is a relentless man with a plan to bring down the no. 1 food company. This man has broke both their hearts on his almost self-destructive path of revenge and he had never thought past his end goal - a life beyond revenge. After that time skip, we could infer that Yi Seo have been working as recklessly as Saeroyi had been for the past 15 years in the short 4 years where IC co have been found in order for her to do more for Saeroyi. He might not have noticed it when he was doing it himself, but when he saw Yi Seo asleep on her own office desk, he worries for her recklessness. Yi Seo fainting & Seung-kwon reciting the phrases for the events was what truly seals the deal for Saeroyi - he may like Soo-Ah, but Yi Seo is his life and he is afraid of losing her. So to me, it's not because of Yi Seo having done more for Saeroyi or Soo-Ah being 'selfish' in her way being the reason Saeroyi is now with Yi Seo; it's a simple reason that Yi Seo is his life & he cannot be without her that's why he loves her. That's why these two are the most beautiful scenes to me in the entire montage; him realising 00:07:41 & he putting down work to spend time with her 00:09:42
