'வெள்ளி' எனப் பொருள் தரும் சமசுகிருத சொல்லான ருப்யா-விலிரிருந்து ரூபாய் என்ற சொல் பிறந்தது. இன்றும் சிங்கப்பூர் போன்ற நாடுகளில் "டாலர்" என்ற ஆங்கில நாணயப் பெயருக்கு இணையாக வெள்ளி என்ற தமிழ் சொல்லே சிங்கப்பூர்த் தமிழரகளால் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

My grandfather came to Singapore in 1930s, and we never left!! My boys graduated from Singapore university with bursaries from the most generous local Chinese businessmen!! My father used to say that "Singapore is Blessed with the right amount of Sunshine and Rain, because of it's Non Corruption Government, Justice and Equality 🙏 We are a Peaceful, Multi-Racial Society ❤ Everyone respects all religions, festivals! Singapore is near equator so daily it will rain around 2 PM ( almost) and climate also very temperate ( I.e) not so hot summer not so cold winters

Hi Ajay: Nice vlog of Singapore. My brother lived in Singapore from 1979 to 1982 and Komala Vilas was his main stay as far as food was concerned. We got the first ever TV in our house from Singapore ( Philips) when my brother sent it to Mumbai through one of his friends. My brother and I went from Delhi to Mumbai just to bring the TV home.

Other places you can go is Botanical Gardens, Labrador Park, Cable car, Sentosa and many more! Also the correct way to say is Selamat Datang! Which means welcome in Malay. This is the whether here,Malaysia & Singapore is in equator so rain and sunny all year long. Also same here no change when you pay with cash for town buses, in Malaysia buy TouchNGo card.
