Italeri EH-101 Cormorant /Merlin motorised helicopter 1/72

After building my CH-113 Labrador recently I came across this kit with similar colours and had to have it.
A nice kit from Italeri but a few years old, this is the 2002 boxing I think.
I made an error in the video saying the main motor is 8mm x 12mm when infact it is 6mm x 12mm so a little smaller.

What you're doing is awesome! I tried this on the 1/100 Skyfall model but have managed to make a mess of the poor thing, but your video inspires and educates me! Such an awesome idea with awesome execution!

Hey mike, fantastic build, im looking to build a motorised AW101 and im wondering do you have a circuit diagram & where did you put the battery?

Hi boyo...Thanks very much 👍 I don't have a wiring diagram...There not much to know tbh....Just take note of the rotor spin direction and if it spins the wrong way swap the wires around... Although there is room for a battery box in the model I don't use one...The wires exit the model underneath and can be connected however you wish.

@@307vrrIve came up with an idea which should seemlessly blend inside the entire airframe allowing for a couple lights and allow the rotors to spin whilst all contained within the model itself with nothing going externally. Although if this idea doesnt work out, how did you hide the wires going externally as in the video at the end it seemed almost as if the entire model was self contained and with no external wiring 😅
