The Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet is a modern twin-engine, carrier-capable, single-seat fighter directly derived from the original design of the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. Larger and heavier than its predecessor, it is characterized by significantly improved flight and combat performance. The two-seater F/A-18F Super Hornet was designed and developed from its earlier single-seat version. The aircraft demonstrated a high level of operational flexibility including fleet air defense, ground attack, close support, and interdiction roles.

looks a nice kit i sometimes cut the large decals in half to make them easier to apply good unboxing and looking forward to seeing this one built

Yeah, I was thinking about doing something similar. I dunno how much it'll help necessarily, but it can't be worse than doing it all in one go, I don't think.

The partial runner is from when Italeri upgraded the molds in 2012 to make a Growler version. Only the ECS stack exhausts are used on the single and two seat kits.

The worst F-18 Super Hornet kit! It amazes me that Italeri didn't make another one after they rushed to be the first on the market.

Don't they have 8 or so on the market? Sure to be fair it's all from the same original tooling in 2001, but at least 3 of them added in new parts to replace some of the worse offending sprues. And this one is from 2021, so it's really not all that bad I think! Deff not the worst Super Hornet I've ever made, but then again I don't have an extensive back-log of them haha!
