- How do you want your tier 8? - As usual, take the premium and make it worse

Ive played around 20 games with the rinoceronte. My personal opinions: The tier 8 premium has great turret armour for its tier. And impenetrable among its own tier. The tier 9 has no glaring weakness in the turret and people avoid shooting the turret altogether. But on the other hand the rinoceronte, the shoulder plates, it has enough armour to bounce standard rounds but damn the effective armour on level ground is 260-290 that means all gold rounds above 300 just smashes this turret with ease on city maps you can't find alot of ridge lines, just rubbles to block your lower plate and expose the weak turret. Only on highgrounds on ridgelines, the effective armour increases. And in tier X, the gold spam is just terrible, and the cherry on the cake, the ammo racks are just behind those flat parts, it's incredibly frustrating, I know wg is having a hard time balancing this tank, below average HP 2k, doesn't really have real heavy tank armour, below standard view range of 390, terrible dispersion on move and mediocre gun handling while turning turret. Trash dpm among all tier X. The deeper you go into the magazine, the penalty you get after that really really can be felt or even decide a victory or defeat., 18 sec for first shell is terrible, and my jageru reloads in 21 sec....... For 1050 alpha. Enough bashing the rinoceronte, but reslly, it is so unique in its own way. Its strong points are 490 auto reloader, the first ever, VERY good standard ammo and heat, HESH also but you almost never use it because 18sec for loading a HESH seems never worth it. Very good accuracy when sitting still. And it's one of the faster heavy tanks unlike the sluggish Germans or the polish ht. A 1 trick pony is what id call it, the kranvagn beats it in almost all situations. but I'd rather have an underpowered vehicle than op one. So is it op?hell no, I still need more games to say it's even worth grinding or spending free xp on this line. edit: i forgot to mention also, that the loader's duty is shared with the gunner, so if the gunner gets killed (very likely because of the turret placement) the already terrible gun handling now made worst just blooms as big as the moon, and reloading speed is made painfully long.

Error 304: DPM is nowhere to be found.

Short summary: they suck The tier X has got same dpm as bissonte.

They should put such a weakpoint on the chieftain

WG claims to make their premiums on par with their tech tree counterparts, yet the Bisonte is far ahead of the C55. This is why nobody takes your company seriously.

It's not that this tank is bad, infact it's probably just right. It's just that there is already better more OP tanks in the game. So it's not that this needs a buff it's that so many other tanks need a nurf. If this went in 2 years ago we would have thought it was a beast.

@Quickybaby The upgraded tracks on the tier8 actually boost ground resistance by 33% and traverse speed by 66%. They are at least as important as the engine upgrade.

If you raise the gun up on the rinoceronte, the weak point dips back down into the turret hiding it completely, it also doesn't weaken the underside of the gun. I suppose it will be a skill to learn like turning your turret away in german heavy's

I have found the tier 9 is best with the stock turret and 2nd 105, the handling and aiming time is far better and the stock turret has more armour .

Hey QB, Even though the reload of the first shell in a full clip is about 15 seconds, the gameplay still seems to show that it works well enough. I think fear over longer reloads should be put into better context. It would be great if you could explore this more with a video that specifically measures the time between firing all rounds while positioned in a battle. Even if you have a 6sec reload time, enemies will still be wiggling and trying to juke out a shot from you, causing you to wait more than 6 seconds to fire in a majority of the encounters. Where reload really factors in is in intense situations where the enemy is being hyper-aggressive and probably exposing all their weak points. This, however, is also a situation experienced more on MT and LT play. You also mentioned that autoloaders are built to dump clips and that the Rinocerante struggles with this. To me, this should not behave like an autoloader. IMO, WG should buff the weak point on the Rinocerante. Your Kranvagn comparison is a good reason to show that the weak point is not needed. The Rino is weak in other areas that can be countered. It should be allowed to excel in its hill-play niche. A Kranvagn can oppose the Rino on a hill and clip that weak point without having to wiggle or anything. It isn't a stalemate situation. I also am really disappointed whenever WG puts a weak engine in an HT. I'd rather they boost the engine power to ~770 (hp) than top speed from 40-45. Doing it this way would give a lot more benefit to using the Turbocharger beyond just increasing its forward/reverse speeds. To me, I think that the Rino should be closer to the responsiveness as the Kranvagn for ridgelines. I think the Rino could be best suited for early-game ridgelines and mid-game flanking, second-line support. I think a base (hp) of 770 would give an ideal hp/t ratio for its mixed role. As it stands, its gun seems to handle most closely to a T57 Heavy and has mobility soft stats between the Obj. 260 and the Super Conq.

Everytime QB mentioned the double barrel tanks he compared the 703 2 with the techtree IS3 2 which is the tier 9. shows how strong this one is

The difference in dpm is 157.5 with vents dipping into the second shell, so this tank is definitely going to want to fire two shells and save the third, especially when the extra reload feature is active.

I was excited about the Italian heavies... until now, the tier 7 and the tier 8 are tragically underpowered, the tier 9 is OK, the tier 10 actually looks good but who thinks about the free to play players???? It will be soul-destroying to grind

It make sense that the 105 has higher pen than the 120 on the tier 9 since it has better shell velocity and velocity maters more that shell weight on penning flat targets

What if tanks with the reload compensation were buffed: So that if you had max number of shells reloaded already, switching to a different shell type would grant the reload compensation for the first shell. Or with the intuition perk it will sometimes grant you the first shell right away AND compensate the 2nd!? or is that too much lol

I tried tier 10 and I this it is very powerful, in battle even the hull bounces really often! Tier 9 also looks pretty good!

I like the weakspot at the tier X. You can hide it when you're not shooting if you know what you're doing, just like angling your turret with German heavies. Enemy will have an opportunity to shoot at it when it's shooting. Adds like 10-20% more DPM at least to its first shell and we have a deal.

I think wargaming could rebalance the Rhinoceronte by increasing the dpm to 2,160, lower the shell velocity to 1,000, lower the aim time to 2.5 s, lower the accuracy to 0.38, improve the soft stats to 0.2, 0.2 and 0.1 respectively, and finally increase the top speed to 45.

One fix for the tier 10 would be to give it a 4th shell in the auto reloader. Slightly shorted reload for the first shell and slightly longer reload penalty for the 4th one. Give it some real serious burst potential, though risky to blow the whole thing due to inter clip time and huge reload. Would balance it out and give it a role to play in a "heavy corner" brawl.

The top part of the Rinoceronte isn’t much of an issue since your gun is so huge you can easily block it unless you can then be penned under the gun mantlet

In my first game in the tier 9 i got 1600 damage delt and 1500 blocked. These new tanks feel really good!

To hide the weak point of the rinoceronte on the turret you could just elevate the gun by about 6 degrees and the weak point will be hidden from the enemy behind the gun

I think it will be hard to hit the weak point on the rinoceronte for anything less than the best gun handling vehicles unless it is sitting stationary. Nice to see the new line isn't completely OP at the moment. Feel bad for people playing the tier 7 and 8 vehicles though.

So in short: Tier 7 - Just give us money and skip it Tier 8 - Bisonte (even looking at design) would be the better normal Tier 8, but we switched, so in this way, give us more money to skip it. Tier 9 - Could be a keeper Tier X - Eeeeh

I love the fact that they add vehicles with low dpm which are not too fast either. Maybe that brings the avg. match time up a bit. And while I feel like it would have been okay to make the Rinocerontes Turret a bit harder to pen, when being on level ground, I do like the weakpoint on top and the possibility to hide it behind its gun. It just looks to me like there is a challenge to play this tank. Its not just a straight forward hulldown + left mouse button tank.

just for info the best shell velocity of heavy tanks is the obj 277 which is really OP in velocity i guess

Tier 9 looks the best to me, has the same dpm as the tier 10 and turret armor along with hull when using gun depresion are really good.

The rhino could just get a reduction of after firing bloom and gun handling. It needs the weakspot removed as it nullifies even the bare amount of armour

a tank with weakspots is a healthy tank (for the game ofc), so... i like the fact that WG didn't make this thing completely impenetrable when it's in a hulldown position.

basically they need to buff the tier 8 so the bisonte is not just better in everyway. they need to buff mobility on the rinocerante, and maybe very slight reload buffs

In case of tier IX... a bit worse penetration doesn't mean that it won't be high enough, e.g. when I had Jagdpanzer IV, its top gun has quite much less penetration than the gun from StuG, but higher alpha; so I was afraid that the pen of the better gun won't be enough, but when I purchased it, the penetration turned out to be enough and my performance was much better.

I love QB's shock of the weakpoint. I am super happy that there are new tanks that are not hugely OP...

Sounds like the entire line is a Skip right now. Between that and the nerfs to Italian mediums, is there any point in playing that nation at all?

I would like to see the reload of the Rino's first shot be shorter with a longer 3rd shot. But IMO the only buffs that should happen are buffs to mobility and gun handling.

The tier 10 needs a serious turret armor buff. Currently even using the max gun depression a lot of gold ammo can go through. Either keep the weakspot and make other parts of the turret at least *work* when using the depression, either remove the weakspot because its bad enough

just fyi... i recommend a camo net and binos on your sniping rhino.... I'm still amazed how many people are driving around with those 2 equipments in a heavy... even in a Tier X \o/

Fun fact: The t8 tank has less DPM (both fully equipped with crew etc.) than the British t8 tech tree scout.

I was really excitied and hoping to see Rinoceronte in the game but it looks like underpowered Kranvagn on the stats. Of course I do have to actually try it to see if it works, but on the stats, it looks quite abysmal.

The front of the CC55 is not that specific. It looks a LOT like the front of a T110E5 just smaller and squished.

The fact that the tier 7 stock gun DPM is almost as good as the Rinoceronte's DPM says alot about how underpowered the Rino is gonna be lol

IS-3-II is tier 9 quicky, if you compare the IS-2-II to the obj 703 II, the difference is as big as the bisonte is to the progetto 54

They extended the holiday ops slots and credit bonuses, but not sure if they extended these discounts.

Sounds like the way to play these tanks is as a medium and go after medium tanks instead of other heavies. I have the T8 premium Bissonte and that's the way I generally play it and it does pretty good in that role but against other heavies its meh especially in a tier 9 or tier 10 match where its clearly out matched. Also the Kranvagn is not OPish IMO. As someone who only plays random games I dont see them very often in battles which leads me to think they aren't that great. If they were I would think I would see them a lot more often. I haven't bothered to buy mine yet so can't rightly say.

tbh I can make this tank work with apcr on test server with 3k avg DMG, i think it's actually very good but maybe just my playstyle

The progetto 54's turret kinda looks like the panther/M0 turret

I think the Rino is going to perform like the new Kranvagn in WoTB where it's the lowest dpm in tier 10 and basically has the speed of an E100, but it turns out it's one of the best performing tier 10s in WoTB even though the stats don't look that good. Tell me if you agree.

they should just buff the gun handling to progetto 65 levels, its an italian autoreloader, these tanks are flexible, and have a very good gun.

When wg released the Bisonte I thought they were taking a step in the right direction by not designing their premium tanks op. And now the tier 8 tech tree counterpart is worse than the well-balanced premium. If the stats of these tanks do not change I wouldn`t even consider to play this new line. Kranvagn is then by far the better choice.

Do you have this weird bug as well when playing at the test server? When I play, tanks which have been destroyed previously do not turn into wreckages but instead stay as they were before destruction. In addition, tanks do not lose hitpoints visibility which makes calculating situations very difficult...

The T110E5 wishes it's cupola was as small as that "massive weakpoint" on top of the Rhino.

For the rhinoceronte, a small calculation would give you (52/15.7+3)*490~=3093dpm. Here you'd fire single shot, then a clip. You can get this to about (52/14.12+3)*490~=3275dmp if you have brothers in arms and food. So yeah, at face value the dpm is shit, if you look into it a bit more, it's pretty decent. It's just a shame that you have that bigass weakspot on your gun that remains a weakspot even when you're using ridgelines. It seems like you should take a shot, then point the gun upwards if there is incoming fire to block the weakspot.
