It is prepared in a short time at home, just 5 minutes and it is ready with some tricks to make it perfect. Italian Hot chocolate is one of the most famous winter drinks in the world, but the Italian one, due to its creamy consistency, is the most successful ever. This is the best recipe for a cup of hot chocolate made to perfection, it comes to you just like the one in coffee shop! You can also make this recipe in the Thermomix if it bothers you to mix or, as we did, simply in a saucepan.
INGREDIENTS FOR TWO CUPS OF HOT CHOCOLATE FOR TWO PEOPLE (2 CUPS OF 150 ml)
• 250 ml whole milk
• 20 gr bitter cocoa
• 20 gr vanilla sugar
• 10 gr corn starch
• 40 grams of 52% dark chocolate
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 1 pinch of salt
HOW TO MAKE ITALIAN HOT CHOCOLATE AT HOME
1. Cut the dark chocolate with a knife choosing the high quality chocolate
2. We heat the milk without bringing it to a boil and leaving a third of the milk for later
3. We mix the powders (corn starch, cocoa, sugar, salt) and add the third of cold milk that we had left
4. Add the chopped chocolate
5. Remove the hot milk from the heat and put the saucepan with the powders and cold milk.
6. Pour the hot milk into the saucepan over the heat while stirring with a whisk
7. Add the cinnamon stick or other spices you like
8. Bring to a boil and if you want more liquid hot chocolate so you can drink it, turn it off now. If you want it very thick and creamy, on the other hand, continue mixing for a while until you reach the desired consistency
