Thanks Mick 🙏☺️ I know crazy hey! It can be completely the opposite of what we had though and very treacherous swell, we were lucky and hid away when needed which was good. A few little nooks to moor in when needed but few and far between I guess Hahahah you’re the second one who said that 🤣 surely I cheersed him after the video 🤭 Thanks so much!

FYI, guys, the smaller fish are healthier.........less mercury and other heavy metals due to ocean pollution. They also taste sweeter and grill up very nicely. 😊

Hey Thomas 😆 we actually spent winter in Australia this time and got away from the cold. We were due to see friends and family and really needed to do some work to save up some money to keep us going. Thankyou!! We won’t show a whole lot of back in Australia so currently we’re catching up closer to real time which is great. The Italy content is from back in October however we stopped sailing between Dec-April so we really only have around 6 weeks to catch up on to get us closer to real time 😆 Oh that’s awesome! You’ll love it! Give us a PM on Instagram if you need any tips ☺️

Hi Guys, Great vlog, (As Usual) Brought back great memories of our sailing trip, UK to Greece in 2019. Took a small detour and visited Polignano, We bit the bullet and had dinner at "The Grotto" As fellow Aussies (Adelaide)... have to say, A fabulous location, And so very Unique, deserves a 10/10, However food and service Not so good 6/10, and hugely overpriced, A set 4 course meal (Tiny serves) for 2 plus a single bottle of wine 420 Euro's !!! Just our experience, but left hungry...🤨

We heard it was pricey so we definitely couldn’t have afforded but you’re making me feel a little better about it 😅 😄

Hi Again J & J Thanks for your reply, We booked about a month in advance as we were sailing south down the Italian coast, we knew we would be there or therabouts, we ended up in "Crotone" and hired a car for a few days and drove to Polignano (for the dinner) and also used it ti visit Alberobello which we had always wanted to visit, Famous for its "Trulli" houses, A fascinating place and a "Must see " if down that way.. Apparently "The Grotto" is less expensive in the Off Season.. Also, Dont know if you are in "Real time" and therefore still down that way, or which way you are headed, but if intending the foot of Italy and then up the coast, a couple of good placs along the way, Santa Maria Di Leuca has a good marina and not expensive, Easy fuel pontoon..also the anchorage right outside the marina is good. Then Crotone is a big harbour with several marina areas inside also not expensive and has a vibrant town. Next along the way, Rocella Ionica, Great marina, Easy fuel pontoon and the little restaurant does fabulous Pizza's, you order a half metre or metre !! Good luck and fair winds @@LeadingtheEscapade

We would’ve been there in off season, but weren’t prepared enough to book it, it was a surprise to see it that’s for sure 😍😅 I get a little slack with researching places when we visit so many places these days Oh that’s actually great help! It isn’t real-time but in real time we actually sail over to Santa Maria do Leuca in the next week or so and planned to stay there! Looks cheap so that’s great as I know it’s quiet exposed around that area All very helpful suggestions so Thankyou ☺️

Hey Tony, we use the iPhone 13 Pro now for 95% of our footage 😃 crazy hey! But it’s great! Obviously doesn’t do mechanical depth of field it’s a little more digital so sometimes you can notice some flaws but alongside working in a MacBook it’s awesome for granger in footage over etc with airdrop 😆

I’m interested in what you do about visas to allow you to cruise. As a Brit, once upon a time I was free to cruise the EU med for as long as I wished. Now, I suspect similar to yourselves, I am subject to a 90 in 180 day rule and so ‘free cruising’ is no longer possible with ‘duck-outs’ to Montenegro, Turkey etc. necessary. Do you have to do the same or have you found a solution to this stay limit??

Ahhh yeah that would’ve been so hard for you guys! We’ve never known any different I guess. At the start we really did The by the books but we were also in the area where we had turkey, Croatia, Montenegro etc. But to be honest, we just don’t check in all the time now. It’s naughty, yes, but every cruiser we speak to tends to do it. Also places like the Balearic Islands tend to turn you away and even if coast guards come to check papers they don’t check your passport stamp. So we’re not currently checked it. But we have just got word that countries like Spain, Italy etc are doing almost like a crew list now without stamping your passport and you can stay up to a year. We’ve had friends of friends do it and show the document they got given, so we have other friends about to test this out in Mallorca and see if it works. We’ll report back and let you know how it goes as if they get it to work we’ll try the same. Also malta already have done this for quiet some time

Many thanks @@LeadingtheEscapade. VERY interesting that they are not too strict on the stamping in/stamping out, but I guess this only works if you sail in, sail out. If you where to fly in (and gain a stamp), you're 'in' and so need to be stamped out to not break the 90/180 rule. I guess you'd have to fly in, get stamped-in, formally depart by yacht and get stamped-out, and then go 'more nomadic' on your return (by yacht) as you describe. In researching this 90/180 day rule for a job I had which used to have me in Italy each week, I learnt Italy can fine you up to EUR10,000 for a 90 in 180 day infringement. That's a bit eye watering! And what do you mean by "places like the Balearic Islands tend to turn you away"? You mean they deny you entry and you are required to sail on???

I'm going to ask what a lot of people would consider a dumb question, when you guys are sailing and bouncing around from country to town and such, is a passport not required or is it?

Not a dumb question at all, I guess if you haven’t done it you won’t necessarily know 😀 so you definitely need a passport, however a lot of the countries in Europe are part of a system called the Schengen visa so once you’re stamped in you can move freely between those countries without having constantly get stamped in and out. But I think you still technically need to have a passport if you know what I mean, obviously flying wise you would need to still present it. People within the EU have even more freedom than people outside of the EU where they don’t have the 90/180 day time limit like we do

Yeah it was in October last year ☺️ but we’ll be much closer to real time very soon, as we didn’t sail between December and April. So we’re only about 6 weeks behind in sailing content now, catching up to real time ☺️

Unfortunately in Southern Italy it is pretty common to see trash all over the place. I live in the South for about 5+ years and that was the one thing that I disliked...that and the stray dogs everywhere. I do agree with some of the others about the journey you take us on in your vidoes...very enjoyable to watch.

How about you’re a disgrace for writing something so horrible on someone’s video, maybe think before you speak/write about the effect you can have on people If you took a chance to watch our other video’s before making such a quick judgment you would know we are genuine sailors. Just because we don’t race doesn’t mean we’re not sailors….We’ve sailed through 10 countries, living aboard a sailboat for 2 years full time now.

Another amazing episode. Great photography, very informative and interesting narration. Lucky it was warm and the sun was shining on you.😊 As we all know it’s not always plain sailing but a bit of plain motoring when you are on passage. If it was all sailing and no talking people would also find that boring. There has to be a balance of everything. If you follow our channel and like us then you may find what we talk about interesting or informative, of course there is more talking in some episode’s and more sailing in others, but if you want to watch more sailing you should probably find some race sailors to watch instead. Clearly we’re not for you 🤷🏻‍♀️ No one else is complaining about what we’re doing so 👍🏼
